重庆外语外事学院（Chongqing Institute of Foreign Studies），中文简称重外院，英文简称CIFS。其前身为2001年创建的四川外国语大学重庆南方翻译学院，2002年开始招生，2003年被教育部确立为独立学院，2011年取得学士学位授予权，2020年底经教育部同意转设为独立设置的民办普通本科学校。经过二十余年发展，学校已成为以文学学科为主，语言学科专业为优势，文学、经济学、管理学、艺术学、工学、教育学等多学科协调发展的多科性大学，累计培养6万余名合格毕业生。

Chongqing Institute of Foreign Studies (CIFS) was formerly known as Chongqing Nanfang Translators College of Sichuan International Studies University, founded in 2001. It began enrollment in 2002, was recognized as an independent college by the Ministry of Education in 2003, obtained the right to grant bachelor's degrees in 2011, and was transformed into an independent private undergraduate university with the approval of the Ministry of Education at the end of 2020. After more than 20 years of development, it has become a multidisciplinary university focusing on literature, with advantages in language disciplines, and coordinated development of literature, economics, management, art, engineering, education and other disciplines, having cultivated over 60,000 qualified graduates.

学校设有英语学院、东方语学院等12个二级学院（部），开设英语、翻译、国际经济与贸易等41个本科专业，面向全国30个省（自治区、直辖市）招生。拥有綦江和渝北两个校区：綦江校区位于綦江区东部新城，校园依山而建，万株樱花构成独特景观；渝北校区地处重庆两江新区，毗邻江北国际机场，环境秀丽。两校区均配备完善的教学、实训、生活设施，图书馆资源丰富，是重庆市智慧校园建设试点单位。

The university has 12 secondary colleges (departments) including the School of English and the School of Oriental Languages, offering 41 undergraduate majors such as English, Translation, and International Economics and Trade, enrolling students from 30 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) across China. It has two campuses: the Qijiang Campus in the eastern new city of Qijiang District, built against mountains with ten thousand cherry trees forming a unique landscape; and the Yubei Campus located in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, adjacent to Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport with beautiful surroundings. Both campuses are equipped with complete teaching, training, and living facilities, rich library resources, and are pilot units for smart campus construction among similar institutions in Chongqing.

学校师资力量雄厚，拥有享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家、全国教学名师等高层次人才，构建“外语+”人才培养模式，推进产教融合，与多家单位共建实习实训基地。注重国际化办学，与五大洲50余所高校建立合作关系，积极开展中外联合培养等项目。学生在学科竞赛中屡获佳绩，近三年获国家级奖项150余项、省部级奖项1000余项，毕业生就业前景广阔。

The university boasts a strong faculty, including experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, national teaching masters and other high-level talents. It has constructed a "Foreign Language +" talent training model, promoted industry-education integration, and established internship and training bases with multiple units. Focusing on international education, it has established cooperative relations with more than 50 universities across five continents, actively carrying out Sino-foreign joint training programs. Students have achieved excellent results in academic competitions, winning over 150 national awards and more than 1,000 provincial and ministerial awards in the past three years, with broad employment prospects for graduates.
