大连艺术学院是经教育部批准独立设置的综合性艺术类应用型普通本科高校，坐落于“浪漫之都”大连。学校始建于2000年，2009年由东北大学大连艺术学院转设为独立设置的民办本科院校，2011年整合大连艺术职业学院资源，形成如今的办学规模。学校以“明德、精艺、崇实、尚美”为校训，坚持“质量立校、人才强校、特色兴校”的发展战略，致力于培养具有创新精神和实践能力的高素质艺术人才。

Dalian Art College is an application-oriented general undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education, specializing in comprehensive arts education. Located in the "Romantic City" of Dalian, the college was founded in 2000 and transformed into an independent private undergraduate university from Dalian Art College of Northeastern University in 2009. In 2011, it integrated resources from Dalian Vocational College of Art to form its current educational scale. With the motto "Virtue, Excellence in Art, Pragmatism, and Aesthetics", the college adheres to the development strategy of "quality-oriented, talent-strengthened, and characteristic-developed", committed to cultivating high-quality artistic talents with innovative spirit and practical ability.

学校设有音乐学院、乐队学院、戏剧影视与传媒学院等11个二级分院，开设31个本科专业和18个专科专业，涵盖音乐、舞蹈、戏剧、美术、设计、服装、文化管理等多个艺术领域。教学设施完善，拥有省级实验教学示范中心2个、省级大学生校外实践教育基地9个，教学科研仪器设备总值超8300万元，纸质图书112.9万册。近年来，学校获批国家艺术基金项目7项，教育部、文旅部课题8项，获评“国家级众创空间”和“全国创新创业典型经验高校”。

The college comprises 11 secondary schools, including the School of Music, School of Orchestra, School of Theatre, Film, Television and Media, offering 31 undergraduate programs and 18 specialized programs covering music, dance, drama, fine arts, design, fashion, and cultural management. It boasts advanced teaching facilities, including 2 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers and 9 provincial off-campus practice bases for college students. The total value of teaching and research equipment exceeds 83 million yuan, with 1.129 million paper books. In recent years, the college has obtained 7 National Art Fund projects and 8 projects from the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and has been awarded the titles of "National Mass Innovation Space" and "National Model University for Innovation and Entrepreneurship".
