福建林业职业技术学院前身是创建于1953年的福建林业学校，2003年升格为高职院校，至今已有70年办学历史。学院传承“敬业、吃苦、务实、进取”的天麟精神，秉承“明思笃行、业精德厚”校训，坚持“以技载道、树木树人”办学理念，主动对接生态文明先行示范区建设和乡村振兴国家战略，形成了可持续发展态势。

Fujian Forestry Vocational & Technical College originated from Fujian Forestry School founded in 1953 and was upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2003, boasting a 70-year educational history. The college inherits the Tianlin spirit of "dedication, perseverance, pragmatism, and enterprise", adheres to the school motto of "Clear Thinking and Steady Action, Profound Expertise and Noble Morality", and upholds the educational philosophy of "Cultivating Morality through Skills, Nurturing Talents like Trees". It actively aligns with the construction of ecological civilization demonstration zones and the national strategy of rural revitalization, forming a sustainable development momentum.

学院现有天麟和江南两个校区，占地面积1239亩，建筑面积29.89万平方米，设有14个党政管理机构、3个教学辅助机构及11个教学机构，开设40个专业，面向全国15个省（区）招生，现有在校生19000余人、成人学历教育学生1500多人。学院现为国家示范性骨干高职院校、全国职业教育先进单位、全国现代学徒制试点单位、全国绿化模范单位，以及福建省高水平职业院校和专业建设计划A类建设单位。

The college has two campuses, Tianlin and Jiangnan, covering an area of 1239 mu with a building area of 298,900 square meters. It comprises 14 party and government administrative institutions, 3 teaching auxiliary institutions, and 11 teaching units, offering 40 majors and enrolling students from 15 provinces (regions) across the country. Currently, it has over 19,000 full-time students and more than 1,500 adult education students. The college is now a National Model Key Vocational College, National Advanced Unit in Vocational Education, National Pilot Unit for Modern Apprenticeship, National Model Unit for Afforestation, and a Class A construction unit of Fujian Provincial High-Level Vocational Colleges and Professional Construction Plan.
