福建警察学院是福建省人民政府举办的福建省唯一一所以培养公安、司法警察为主的全日制警察本科院校。学院前身是始建于1949年8月的福建省警务干部学校，历经多次更名与合并，于2007年5月经教育部批准正式升格为本科层次的福建警察学院。

Fujian Police College is the only full-time police undergraduate college in Fujian Province run by the Fujian Provincial People's Government, mainly cultivating public security and judicial police officers. The predecessor of the college was Fujian Police Cadre School founded in August 1949. After several renamings and mergers, it was officially upgraded to Fujian Police College at the undergraduate level with the approval of the Ministry of Education in May 2007.

学院设有侦查系、治安系、刑事科学技术系等11个教学机构，开设有治安学、侦查学、刑事科学技术等6个公安司法类本科专业及法学、行政管理等3个普通类本科专业。学院拥有一支结构合理的教师队伍，其中享受国务院特殊津贴专家1人，全国优秀教师2人，省级教学名师7人，并建有多个省级实验教学示范中心和实训场所，为公安司法人才培养提供了坚实保障。

The college has 11 teaching institutions including the Department of Investigation, Department of Public Security, and Department of Forensic Science and Technology, offering 6 public security and judicial undergraduate majors such as Public Security Studies, Investigation Studies, and Forensic Science and Technology, as well as 3 general undergraduate majors including Law and Public Administration. The college has a well-structured teaching team, including 1 expert enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, 2 national outstanding teachers, and 7 provincial-level teaching masters. It also has multiple provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration centers and training venues, providing a solid guarantee for the cultivation of public security and judicial talents.
