福州软件职业技术学院成立于2005年，是经福建省人民政府批准创办的民办高职院校。2012年，国内互联网龙头企业网龙网络控股有限公司（港股上市企业：777）入主办学，2021年虚拟现实技术应用专业群入选福建省高水平职业院校和专业建设计划A类立项项目。学校依托网龙公司打造的福州滨海新区数字教育小镇，形成“数字教育链与产业链协同发展”特色模式，聚焦培养数字经济领域高素质技术技能人才。

Fuzhou Software Technology Vocational College was founded in 2005 as a private higher vocational college approved by the Fujian Provincial People's Government. In 2012, NetDragon Websoft Holdings Limited (Hong Kong-listed company: 777), a leading enterprise in China's internet industry, took over the school's operation. In 2021, its Virtual Reality Technology Application professional group was selected as a Class A project in Fujian Province's High-Level Vocational Colleges and Professional Construction Plan. Leveraging the Digital Education Town in Fuzhou Binhai New Area built by NetDragon, the college has formed a distinctive "digital education-industry chain synergy" model, focusing on cultivating high-quality technical talents in the digital economy field.

学校现有文岭、文武砂两个校区，总占地面积400亩，下设9个二级教学单位，构建了以软件技术、人工智能、虚拟现实等为核心的七大专业群。拥有国家级生产性实训基地、省级高水平专业化产教融合实训基地等教学平台，教学仪器设备总值超5700万元，校外实习基地256个，图书馆藏书98万余册，在校生规模达12000余人。

The college has two campuses (Wenling and Wenwusha) covering a total area of 400 mu, with 9 secondary teaching units and seven key professional groups centered on software technology, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality. It boasts teaching platforms including national-level productive training bases and provincial-level high-level specialized industry-education integration training bases, with teaching equipment worth over 57 million yuan, 256 off-campus internship bases, a library with over 980,000 books, and a student population exceeding 12,000.
