佛山大学是一所位于广东省佛山市的高水平综合性大学，前身为1958年创办的佛山师范专科学校，历经多年发展，于1995年升格为本科院校并更名为佛山科学技术学院，2021年正式更名为佛山大学。学校以理工为主，工、理、农、医、管理、文学、艺术等多学科协调发展，秉持“明德博学、自强有为”的校训，致力于培养应用型、创新型高级专门人才。

Foshan University is a high-level comprehensive university located in Foshan City, Guangdong Province. Its predecessor was Foshan Normal College founded in 1958. After years of development, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college in 1995 and renamed Foshan University of Science and Technology, and officially renamed Foshan University in 2021. With engineering and science as the main focus, the university develops coordinatedly in multiple disciplines such as engineering, science, agriculture, medicine, management, literature, and art. 学校现有仙溪、江湾、河滨三个校区，总占地面积达2200多亩，教学科研仪器设备总值超12亿元。拥有多个省级重点学科和特色专业，其中智能制造工程、光电信息科学与工程等专业入选国家级一流本科专业建设点。学校注重产学研融合，与地方政府、企业共建了一批高水平科研平台和产业学院，为区域经济社会发展提供了有力的人才支撑和科技服务。

The university currently has three campuses: Xianxi, Jiangwan, and Hebin, with a total area of more than 2,200 mu and a total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment exceeding 1.2 billion yuan. It has multiple provincial key disciplines and characteristic majors, among which intelligent manufacturing engineering, optoelectronic information science and engineering have been selected into the national first-class undergraduate major construction sites. The university attaches importance to the integration of industry, education and research, and has jointly built a number of high-level scientific research platforms and industrial colleges with local governments and enterprises, providing strong talent support and scientific and technological services for regional economic and social development.
