阜阳师范大学坐落在千年历史文化古城、中国特色魅力城市、全国文明城市——阜阳。学校毗邻古颍州西湖，汇千里长淮锦绣，聚三清贯颍灵杰，地理位置优越，交通通达便捷，环境秀美怡人。学校创办于1956年，1977年开始招收本科生，1978年设立阜阳师范学院，2008年教育部本科教学工作水平评估获得优秀等次，2009年启动研究生培养，2019年更名为阜阳师范大学，2022年入选教育部师范教育协同提质计划，2024年获批安徽省重点立项建设博士学位授予单位。

Fuyang Normal University is located in Fuyang, a thousand-year-old historical and cultural city, a charming city with Chinese characteristics, and a national civilized city. Adjacent to the ancient Yingzhou West Lake, the university enjoys a superior geographical location with convenient transportation and a beautiful environment, embracing the splendid scenery of the thousand-mile Huaihe River and gathering the talents of the three Qing rivers running through Yingzhou. Founded in 1956, it began enrolling undergraduates in 1977, was established as Fuyang Teachers College in 1978, obtained an excellent rating in the undergraduate teaching level evaluation by the Ministry of Education in 2008, started postgraduate training in 2009, was renamed Fuyang Normal University in 2019, was selected into the Ministry of Education's Collaborative Quality Improvement Plan for Teacher Education in 2022, and was approved as a key doctoral degree-granting unit in Anhui Province in 2024.

建校60多年来，学校荣获国家级教学成果二等奖2项、国家科技进步二等奖3项、国家社科基金重大项目1项。先后向社会输送21万余名毕业生，涌现出中国科学院院士方维海、常凯等为代表的一大批优秀校友，人才培养质量赢得广泛赞誉，服务区域经济社会发展成效显著，被誉为皖北地区基础教育的摇篮、人才培养的基地、科技创新的平台、文化建设的窗口。

Over more than 60 years since its establishment, the university has won 2 second prizes of National Teaching Achievements, 3 second prizes of National Science and Technology Progress, and 1 major project of the National Social Science Fund. It has cultivated more than 210,000 graduates for the society, with a large number of outstanding alumni represented by academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Fang Weihai and Chang Kai. The quality of talent training has won wide praise, and the effectiveness of serving regional economic and social development is remarkable. It is known as the cradle of basic education, a base for talent training, a platform for scientific and technological innovation, and a window for cultural construction in northern Anhui.

学校现有全日制在籍在校本科生23769人、研究生987人，占地114.34万平方米，校舍建筑面积92.96万平方米。设置17个教学学院和继续教育学院；现有硕士学位授权点23个，其中学科硕士学位授权点8个，硕士专业学位授权点15个，博士后科研工作站1个；70个本科专业涵盖11个学科门类，拥有国家级特色专业3个、国家级一流本科专业建设点6个、省级一流专业建设点15个。

The university currently has 23,769 full-time undergraduates and 987 postgraduates, covering an area of 1.1434 million square meters with a building area of 929,600 square meters. It has 17 teaching colleges and a College of Continuing Education, 23 master's degree authorization points (including 8 academic master's degree authorization points and 15 professional master's degree authorization points), and 1 post-doctoral research workstation. There are 70 undergraduate majors covering 11 disciplines, with 3 national-level characteristic majors, 6 national-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites, and 15 provincial-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites.

现有专任教师1391人，98.3%以上具有硕士及以上学位，其中博士占比47.4%；高级专业技术职务人员502人，拥有享受国务院或省政府特殊津贴、全国优秀教师等88人；博士生、硕士生导师540人。聘请中国工程院原副院长刘德培院士等兼职教师109人。五年来承担省部级以上科研课题602项，荣获省部级以上科研成果奖16项，发表二类以上期刊论文1126篇。

There are 1,391 full-time teachers, with over 98.3% holding master's degrees or above, and 47.4% holding doctoral degrees. There are 502 senior professional and technical personnel, 88 people enjoying special allowances from the State Council or provincial government, national excellent teachers, etc., and 540 doctoral and master supervisors. It has hired 109 part-time teachers including Liu Depei, former vice president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. In the past five years, it has undertaken 602 scientific research projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level, won 16 scientific research achievement awards at or above the provincial and ministerial level, and published 1,126 papers in journals of category II or above.
