广东轻工职业技术大学是省属公办职业本科院校、国家“双高计划”学校、国家优质院校、国家示范性高职院校。学校前身是创建于1933年的广东省立第一职业学校，至今已有92年职业教育历史。学校坚持以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指导，贯彻党的教育方针，落实立德树人根本任务，立足粤港澳大湾区，面向全国，服务轻工业转型升级，秉承“德能兼备，学以成之”的校训和“自强、敬业、求实、创新”的广轻精神，已为社会培养了27万名高素质高技能应用型人才，毕业生遍布五大洲30多个国家。

Guangdong Industry Polytechnic is a provincial public vocational undergraduate university, a national "Double High Plan" school, a national high-quality university, and a national demonstration higher vocational college. Its predecessor was the Guangdong Provincial No.1 Vocational School founded in 1933, with a history of 92 years in vocational education. Adhering to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the university implements the Party's educational policy, fulfills the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, is rooted in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, serves the national development and the transformation and upgrading of the light industry. 学校现有广州新港校区、广州琶洲校区和佛山南海校区三个校区，全日制在校生2.2万人，校园总面积2021亩，校舍总建筑面积64.45万平方米，固定资产总值21.9亿元，教学仪器设备总值4.9亿元。学校现有教职工1675人，专任教师1239人，其中正高职称专任教师102人，双师素质教师676人。现有13个专业群，其中国家级高水平专业群2个、省级高水平专业群9个，开设全日制本科专业6个、高职专业60个。近五年，学生共获得各类技能大赛国家级奖项657项、省级奖项5513项，毕业生初次就业率始终保持在96%以上，人才培养质量指标居全国高职院校前列。

The university has three campuses: Guangzhou Xingang Campus, Guangzhou Pazhou Campus, and Foshan Nanhai Campus, with 22,000 full-time students. The total campus area is 2021 mu, with a total building area of 644,500 square meters, fixed assets of 2.19 billion yuan, and teaching equipment worth 490 million yuan. There are 1,675 faculty members, including 1,239 full-time teachers, among whom 102 have senior professional titles and 676 are "double-qualified" teachers. The university has 13 professional groups, including 2 national-level high-level professional groups and 9 provincial-level ones, offering 6 full-time undergraduate programs and 60 higher vocational programs. In the past five years, students have won 657 national awards and 5,513 provincial awards in various skill competitions. The initial employment rate of graduates has remained above 96%, and the talent training quality indicators rank among the top higher vocational colleges in China.
