广东金融学院是一所省属公办普通本科院校，是华南地区唯一的金融类高校。学校由中国人民银行创办于1950年，具有深厚的央行基因。学校办学层次不断提升，2004年升格为本科，2012年开始招收金融专业硕士研究生，2014年起招收外国留学生，2021年获批硕士学位授权单位，2024年成为博士学位授予立项建设单位。

Guangdong University of Finance is a provincial public ordinary undergraduate institution and the only finance-focused university in South China. Founded in 1950 by the People's Bank of China, it has a profound central bank heritage. The university has continuously upgraded its educational level:升格为 undergraduate in 2004, started enrolling finance master's students in 2012, admitted international students since 2014, obtained master's degree authorization in 2021, and became a doctoral degree-granting project construction unit in 2024.

学校现有广州校本部、肇庆校区和清远校区三个校区，总占地面积近2300亩。全日制普通本科生2.9万余人，专业硕士研究生407人，来华留学生203人。学科以经济学、管理学、法学为主体，以金融学为核心，开设55个本科专业，涵盖7大学科门类。金融学、保险学、会计学为国家级一流本科专业建设点，应用经济学、工商管理学、法学入选广东省“冲一流、补短板、强特色”提升计划重点建设学科。

The university has three campuses: Guangzhou headquarters, Zhaoqing Campus, and Qingyuan Campus, covering a total area of nearly 2,300 mu. It has over 29,000 full-time undergraduate students, 407 professional master's students, and 203 international students. With economics, management, and law as the main disciplines and finance as the core, it offers 55 undergraduate programs spanning 7 academic categories. Finance, Insurance, and Accounting are national first-class undergraduate program construction sites, while Applied Economics, Business Administration, and Law are listed in Guangdong Province's "Strive for First-class, Make up Shortcomings, Strengthen Characteristics" key discipline development plan.

学校被誉为“华南金融人才摇篮”和“南粤金融黄埔军校”，建有国家级实验教学中心、虚拟仿真实验中心和货币金融博物馆（国家级博物馆）。科研平台包括19个省级研究机构，主办的《金融经济学研究》是CSSCI、AMI、中文核心期刊。学校与多家金融机构合作，注重实践教学，培养了大批金融领域专业人才，毕业生深受银行、证券等金融系统青睐。

Known as the "Cradle of Financial Talents in South China" and "South Guangdong Financial Huangpu Military Academy", the university has a national experimental teaching center, a virtual simulation experiment center, and a Monetary and Financial Museum (national-level museum). Its research platforms include 19 provincial-level institutions, and it hosts the "Financial Economics Research", a CSSCI, AMI, and Chinese core journal. Collaborating with numerous financial institutions and emphasizing practical teaching, the university has cultivated a large number of professionals in the financial field, with graduates highly favored by banking, securities, and other financial systems.
