贵州医科大学是贵州省重点建设高校，其前身为1938年成立的国立贵阳医学院，是当时全国最早直属国家教育部的9所高等医学院校之一。学校历经80余年发展，已成为以医学为特色，涵盖理学、工学、管理学、法学、教育学等多学科协调发展的综合性医科大学。

Guizhou Medical University is a key construction university in Guizhou Province. Its predecessor was the National Guiyang Medical College founded in 1938, which was one of the first 9 higher medical colleges directly under the Ministry of Education in China at that time. After more than 80 years of development, the university has become a comprehensive medical university with medicine as its characteristic, covering multiple disciplines such as science, engineering, management, law, and education.

学校现有2个校区，占地总面积1868亩，拥有全日制在校生2.5万余人，其中研究生3000余人。设有21个教学单位，36个本科专业，形成了从本科到博士的完整人才培养体系。临床医学、药理学与毒理学学科进入ESI全球前1%，拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点12个。

The university currently has 2 campuses with a total area of 1868 mu, and has more than 25,000 full-time students, including more than 3,000 graduate students. It has 21 teaching units and 36 undergraduate majors, forming a complete talent training system from undergraduate to doctoral level. Clinical Medicine, Pharmacology and Toxicology have entered the top 1% of ESI globally, and there are 12 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites.
