甘肃农业大学坐落于甘肃省省会兰州市，是农业部和甘肃省人民政府共建大学、国家重点建设的中西部百所高校之一。学校前身是1946年10月创建于兰州的国立兽医学院，是中国西北地区最早培养高等农业人才的院校之一。经过70余年的建设与发展，学校已形成了以农业科学为优势，多学科协调发展的学科专业体系，涵盖农学、工学、理学、经济学、管理学、文学、法学等学科门类。

Gansu Agricultural University is located in Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province. It is a university jointly built by the Ministry of Agriculture and the People's Government of Gansu Province, and one of the key universities in the central and western regions of China. The predecessor of the university was the National Veterinary College founded in Lanzhou in October 1946, which was one of the earliest institutions in northwest China to cultivate high-level agricultural talents. After more than 70 years of construction and development, the university has formed a discipline system with agricultural science as its advantage and coordinated development of multiple disciplines, covering agriculture, engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law and other disciplines.

学校现有23个学院（教学部），66个本科专业，拥有6个一级学科博士学位授权点，23个一级学科硕士学位授权点，15个专业学位授权类别。学校始终坚持以立德树人为根本，以强农兴农为己任，培养了大批德智体美劳全面发展的高素质农业科技和管理人才，为甘肃乃至西北地区农业现代化和经济社会发展作出了重要贡献。

The university currently has 23 colleges (teaching departments), 66 undergraduate majors, 6 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 23 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, and 15 professional degree authorization categories. Adhering to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and taking strengthening and invigorating agriculture as its responsibility, the university has cultivated a large number of high-quality agricultural science and technology and management talents with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor, making important contributions to agricultural modernization and economic and social development in Gansu and even northwest China.
