桂林电子科技大学是国家工业和信息化部与广西壮族自治区人民政府共建高校、国家“中西部高校基础能力建设工程”入选高校、广西重点建设高校。学校始建于1960年，历经桂林机械专科学校、桂林无线电专科学校、桂林电子工业学院等发展阶段，2006年更名为桂林电子科技大学。学校以电子信息类学科为特色，工、理、管、文、法、艺、教等多学科协调发展，在电子信息、通信工程、计算机科学与技术等领域具有较强的学科优势和科研实力，是培养电子信息产业高级专门人才的重要基地。

Guilin University of Electronic Technology (GUET) is a university jointly built by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is also a university selected into the "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in Central and Western China" and a key university in Guangxi. Founded in 1960, the university has gone through development stages such as Guilin Mechanical College, Guilin Radio College, and Guilin Institute of Electronic Technology, and was renamed Guilin University of Electronic Technology in 2006. With electronic and information disciplines as its features, the university develops coordinately in multiple disciplines including engineering, science, management, liberal arts, law, art, and education. It has strong disciplinary advantages and scientific research strength in fields such as electronic information, communication engineering, and computer science and technology, and is an important base for cultivating senior professionals in the electronic information industry.

学校现有金鸡岭、六合路、花江、北海四个校区，校园环境优美，教学设施完善，拥有国家级实验教学示范中心、国家级虚拟仿真实验教学中心、国家级工程实践教育中心等多个教学科研平台。学校注重产学研结合，积极与国内外高校、科研院所及企业开展合作，承担了一批国家重大科技项目，科研成果多次获得国家级、省部级奖励。多年来，学校始终坚持立德树人根本任务，培养了大批基础扎实、素质全面、具有创新精神和实践能力的优秀人才，毕业生在电子信息、智能制造等行业深受用人单位好评，为国家和地方经济社会发展作出了重要贡献。

The university currently has four campuses: Jinjiling, Liuhe Road, Huajiang, and Beihai. The campus environment is beautiful, and the teaching facilities are complete. It has multiple teaching and research platforms such as national experimental teaching demonstration centers, national virtual simulation experimental teaching centers, and national engineering practice education centers.
