广西电力职业技术学院始建于1979年，原由国家电力工业部举办、广西电力工业局主管，现由广西壮族自治区教育厅直管。是广西唯一一所公办电力类高校，是国家优质专科高等职业院校、广西高水平高职学校。学校现有两个校区，五象校区位于中国（广西）自由贸易试验区南宁片区，科园校区位于南宁市高新区核心地带。

Guangxi Electrical Polytechnic Institute was founded in 1979. Originally sponsored by the former Ministry of Electric Power Industry and managed by the Guangxi Electric Power Industry Bureau, it is now directly administered by the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is the only public electric power college in Guangxi, and is recognized as a National High-quality Vocational College and a Guangxi High-level Vocational College. The university has two campuses: the Wuxiang Campus is located in the Nanning Area of China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, and the Keyuan Campus is situated in the core area of Nanning High-tech Zone.

办学44年来，学校秉承“厚德笃学 砺能敏行”的校训，坚持以服务为宗旨、以就业为导向的办学方针，面向全国27个省（自治区、直辖市）招生，全日制高职在校生将近17000人，成为全国电力类高职院校中办学规模最大、专业覆盖面最全、办学综合实力强的高校。学校设置有12个二级学院，开设发电厂及电力系统等51个专业，建成“建-造-发-输-变-配-用-管”全电力产业链的专业体系。

Over 44 years of operation, adhering to the school motto of "Virtue, Diligence, Ability, and Action", the university adheres to the educational philosophy of "serving as the purpose and employment as the orientation". It enrolls students from 27 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) across the country, with nearly 17,000 full-time vocational college students, making it the largest in scale, most comprehensive in professional coverage, and strong in comprehensive办学 strength among electric power vocational colleges in China. The university has 12 secondary colleges, offering 51 majors including Power Plant and Power System, and has built a professional system covering the entire electric power industry chain of "construction-manufacturing-generation-transmission-transformation-distribution-utilization-management".

学校坚持产教融合·校企合作·协同育人理念，与南方电网、中国大唐、华为技术有限公司等知名企业建立长期战略合作关系，牵头组建中国-东盟能源电力职教集团，深入推进“三层对接”教改工程和“五融合”模式，建成3个中央财政支持实训基地、1个国家级虚拟仿真示范实训基地等高水平教学平台，积极服务电力行业转型升级和地方经济社会发展。

The university adheres to the concept of industry-education integration, school-enterprise cooperation, and collaborative education. It has established long-term strategic cooperative relations with well-known enterprises such as China Southern Power Grid, China Datang Corporation, and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. It takes the lead in establishing the China-ASEAN Energy and Electric Power Vocational Education Group, and deeply promotes the "three-level docking" teaching reform project and the "five integrations" model. It has built 3 training bases supported by the central finance, 1 national virtual simulation demonstration training base and other high-level teaching platforms, actively serving the transformation and upgrading of the electric power industry and local economic and social development.
