广西金融职业技术学院以中国人民银行总行于1952年创办的广西银行学校和1953年设立的广西银行干部学校为基础，于2014年1月经广西壮族自治区人民政府批准并报中华人民共和国教育部备案而创建，直属广西壮族自治区教育厅管理，是广西唯一的一所以培养、培训银行、证券、保险等金融经济类人才为任务的全日制高等职业教育学院，先后为社会培养合格毕业生6万余名，遍布广西及全国各地，70%的毕业生成为广西各大银行的行长和业务骨干，享有广西金融人才的摇篮之美誉。

Guangxi Financial Vocational College was founded on the basis of Guangxi Banking School established by the Head Office of the People's Bank of China in 1952 and Guangxi Banking Cadre School established in 1953. It was approved by the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in January 2014 and reported to the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China for the record. It is directly under the management of the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and is the only full-time higher vocational education college in Guangxi tasked with cultivating and training talents in banking, securities, insurance and other financial and economic fields. It has successively cultivated more than 60,000 qualified graduates for the society, who are distributed all over Guangxi and other parts of the country. 70% of the graduates have become presidents and business backbones of major banks in Guangxi, enjoying the reputation of the cradle of Guangxi financial talents.

现分大学东路、大学西路两个校区办学；共有金融系、会计系、投资与保险系、经济管理系、信息技术系、旅游管理系等6个教学系；开设金融服务与管理、国际金融、农村金融、大数据与会计、大数据与财务管理、大数据与审计、财税大数据应用、保险实务、财富管理、证券实务、电子商务、市场营销、工商企业管理、移动互联应用技术、计算机应用技术、融媒体技术与运营、旅游管理、酒店管理与数字化运营和高速铁路客运服务等45个专业（方向）。

It currently has two campuses: University East Road and University West Road. There are 6 teaching departments including the Department of Finance, Department of Accounting, Department of Investment and Insurance, Department of Economic Management, Department of Information Technology, and Department of Tourism Management. It offers 45 majors (directions) such as Financial Services and Management, International Finance, Rural Finance, Big Data and Accounting, Big Data and Financial Management, Big Data and Auditing, Financial and Tax Big Data Application, Insurance Practice, Wealth Management, Securities Practice, E-commerce, Marketing, Industrial and Commercial Enterprise Management, Mobile Internet Application Technology, Computer Application Technology, Financial Media Technology and Operation, Tourism Management, Hotel Management and Digital Operation, and High-speed Railway Passenger Service.
