广西农业职业技术大学于2021年5月经中华人民共和国教育部批准设置，由广西壮族自治区人民政府举办。学校由广西大学行健文理学院、广西农业职业技术学院合并，并整合广西大学和广西壮族自治区畜牧研究所部分资源转设而成，是全国第一所涉农类公办职业本科大学。

Guangxi Agricultural Vocational and Technical University was established in May 2021 with the approval of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and is sponsored by the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The university was formed by merging Guangxi University Xingjian College of Science and Liberal Arts, Guangxi Agricultural Vocational and Technical College, and integrating some resources from Guangxi University and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Institute of Animal Husbandry. It is the first public vocational undergraduate university specializing in agriculture in China.

学校位于广西首府南宁市，设东、西两个校区，占地面积3845.8亩。现有12个教学机构和5个科研机构，开设招生备案专业103个，其中四年制职业本科专业37个，二年制职业本科专业29个，高职专科专业37个。截至2025年9月，全日制在校生26848人，教职工1518人，其中高级职称教师536人，双师型教师809人。

The university is located in Nanning, the capital city of Guangxi, with two campuses (East and West) covering an area of 3845.8 mu. It currently has 12 teaching institutions and 5 research institutions, offering 103 accredited majors, including 37 four-year vocational undergraduate majors, 29 two-year vocational undergraduate majors, and 37 higher vocational college majors. As of September 2025, there are 26,848 full-time students and 1,518 faculty members, including 536 with senior professional titles and 809 "double-qualified" teachers (with both academic and industry expertise).

学校以培养德技并修、具有三农情怀、扎实专业技术知识、较强创新精神和实践能力的现代农业农村高层次复合型高技能人才为目标，近五年获国家级职业教育教学成果奖2项，学生参加职业院校技能大赛获自治区级以上奖项346项，科研方面拥有13个自治区级以上科研平台，获批国家自然科学基金依托单位，为区域农业农村发展提供有力支撑。

The university aims to cultivate high-level, compound, and skilled talents for modern agriculture and rural areas, who possess both moral integrity and technical proficiency, a commitment to agriculture, rural areas and farmers, solid professional knowledge, strong innovative spirit and practical ability. In the past five years, it has won 2 national vocational education teaching achievement awards, and students have won 346 awards above the autonomous region level in vocational college skills competitions. In terms of scientific research, the university has 13 research platforms above the autonomous region level and has been approved as a supporting unit for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, providing strong support for regional agricultural and rural development.
