广州商学院位于粤港澳大湾区东北部，坐落在中新广州知识城南部核心地带，前身是华南师范大学增城学院，1999年成为广东省第一所新机制二级学院，2004年成为全国第一批、广东省第一所独立学院。2014年转设为普通本科高校，2020年通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估，2021年成为广东省第一批民办高校硕士学位授予立项建设单位，2023年获批为国家自然科学基金依托单位。

Guangzhou College of Commerce is located in the northeastern part of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, in the southern core zone of the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City. Its predecessor was Zengcheng College of South China Normal University, established in 1999 as the first new-mechanism secondary college in Guangdong Province. In 2004, it became one of the first independent colleges in China and the first in Guangdong. It was restructured into a regular undergraduate university in 2014, passed the Undergraduate Teaching Qualification Assessment by the Ministry of Education in 2020, became one of the first private universities in Guangdong to be approved for master's degree programs in 2021, and was accredited as a supporting institution for the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2023.

学校现设13个学院，38个本科专业，全日制在校学生超28000人。校园占地超1000亩，校舍建筑面积50万余平方米，图书馆纸质藏书309万册，教学科研仪器设备总值超1.3亿元。拥有省级实验教学示范中心3个，校内实验实训中心204个，校外实践教学基地352个，与科大讯飞、阿里云等企业共建现代产业学院，形成“教育+产业”协同育人模式。

The university currently has 13 colleges offering 38 undergraduate programs, with over 28,000 full-time students. The campus covers an area of more than 1,000 mu (about 666,667 square meters) with a total building area of 500,000 square meters. The library houses 3.09 million paper books, and the total value of teaching and research equipment exceeds 130 million yuan. It boasts 3 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers, 204 on-campus laboratories and training centers, and 352 off-campus practice bases. It has established modern industrial colleges with leading enterprises such as iFlytek and Alibaba Cloud, forming an "education + industry" collaborative education model.

学校以“求真、立信、笃行”为校训，重点发展经济管理、信息技术、法学等优势学科，电子商务为省级特色重点学科，法学、电子商务、金融学为省级一流本科专业建设点。近四年获省级以上学科竞赛奖项1432项，毕业生就业率连续保持在90%以上，是广东省民办高等教育领域具有较强综合实力的应用型本科高校。

With the motto "Seeking Truth, Upholding Integrity, Practicing Diligently", the university focuses on developing优势 disciplines such as economics and management, information technology, and law. E-commerce is a provincial key characteristic discipline, while law, e-commerce, and finance are provincial first-class undergraduate program construction sites. In the past four years, it has won 1,432 provincial and above academic competition awards, with graduate employment rate remaining above 90%. It is an application-oriented university with strong comprehensive strength in Guangdong's private higher education sector.
