广州城市职业学院是2005年3月经广东省人民政府批准、教育部备案，由广州市人民政府举办的广东省示范性高职院校。2009年5月加挂广州社区学院牌子，2022年9月被确定为广东省域高水平高等职业院校建设单位。学校办学历史可追溯至1962年，60余年来培养各类人才30多万，现有科教城、海珠两个校区，总占地面积969亩，校舍建筑面积48万平方米，教学、实训、生活等设施一应俱全。

Guangzhou City Polytechnic is a provincial demonstration higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province and filed by the Ministry of Education in March 2005, sponsored by the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government. In May 2009, it was approved to add the brand of Guangzhou Community College, and in September 2022, it was identified as a construction unit for provincial high-level higher vocational colleges in Guangdong. The school's educational history can be traced back to 1962, having trained more than 300,000 talents of various types over 60 years. It currently has two campuses: Science and Education City and Haizhu, with a total area of 969 mu and a building area of 480,000 square meters, equipped with complete teaching, training, and living facilities.

学校秉承“质量立校、人才强校、文化塑校、特色兴校”办学理念，坚持“因城而生、伴城而长、依城而兴、为城而傲”办学定位，聚焦城市建设、城市服务、城市发展三大专业板块，打造7个省级高水平专业群。现有教职工近800人，专任教师高级职称占比近40%，双师型教师占比85%，建有国家级骨干专业、中央财政支持专业等一批优质专业，毕业生就业率连续多年超98%。

Adhering to the school-running philosophy of "quality-based, talent-strengthened, culture-shaped, and characteristic-developed", the college adheres to the orientation of "born with the city, growing with the city, thriving on the city, and proud of the city". It focuses on three major professional sectors: urban construction, urban services, and urban development, and has built 7 provincial high-level professional groups. There are nearly 800 faculty members, with nearly 40% of full-time teachers having senior professional titles and 85% being "double-qualified" teachers. It has a number of high-quality majors such as national key backbone majors and central finance-supported majors, with the employment rate of graduates exceeding 98% for many consecutive years.
