海南工商职业学院是省属民办全日制高等职业院校,坐落于海南明代先贤唐胄创办的养优书院原址——海南四大文化名村之一的海口攀丹村。学校前身为2003年创办的海南迈拓信息职业技术学院,2004年更名为海南万和信息职业技术学院,2010年4月经教育部批准更名为海南工商职业学院。2012年,唐捷先生全资受让学校并出任董事长。
Hainan College of Business and Technology is a provincial private full-time higher vocational college, located at the original site of Yangyou Academy founded by Tang Zhou, a virtuous man of the Ming Dynasty in Hainan — Pandan Village, one of the four famous cultural villages in Hainan. The predecessor of the school was Hainan Maishuo Information Vocational and Technical College founded in 2003. In 2004, it was renamed Hainan Wanhe Information Vocational and Technical College. In April 2010, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be renamed Hainan College of Business and Technology. In 2012, Mr. Tang Jie wholly acquired the college and served as the chairman of the board.

The college enjoys a superior geographical location, within a 10-minute walking distance from the political, economic and cultural center of Hainan Free Trade Port, close to the provincial Party committee and government, and adjacent to public cultural facilities such as the provincial library and museum. It has a beautiful campus environment and advanced training facilities, including the largest private cloud platform in the province and a rich collection of books in the library. It is one of the first national pilot units for educational informatization and the 84th National Vocational Skill Appraisal Institute in Hainan Province. In 2013, it was approved to admit foreign students, and since 2020, it has been able to enroll students from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao regions.
