海南卫生健康职业学院诞生于健康中国的新时代，是经海南省人民政府批准设立、国家教育部备案的公立高等职业院校，也是海南省唯一的公办医药卫生类高等职业学校。学院地处中国（海南）自由贸易港中心，坐落在风光旖旎的省会城市——椰城海口，拥有秀华、椰海两个校区。

Hainan Health Vocational College was founded in the new era of Healthy China. It is a public higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Hainan Province and registered with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, and is also the only public medical and health vocational college in Hainan Province. The college is located in the center of China (Hainan) Free Trade Port, in the beautiful capital city of Haikou, known as the "Coconut City", with two campuses: Xiuhua and Yehai.

学院依托行业办学优势，坚持“职业型、特色性、国际化”定位，秉承“医教协同、产教融合”的办学理念，遵循全生命周期规律和个体化人才培养，倡导以治病为中心向以人民健康为中心的转变。乘着海南建设自贸港的东风，学院与上海健康医学院合作，实行资源共享、教学同步、标准同质，致力于培养具有健全人格与心理、能够解决实际问题、具有创新意识和可持续发展能力的高技能人才。

Relying on the advantages of industry-based education, the college adheres to the orientation of "vocational, characteristic, and international", upholds the school-running philosophy of "collaboration between medical and educational institutions, integration of production and education", follows the laws of the whole life cycle and individualized talent training, and advocates the transformation from disease treatment-centered to people's health-centered. Taking advantage of Hainan's construction of a free trade port, the college has cooperated with Shanghai University of Medicine & Health Sciences to realize resource sharing, synchronous teaching, and homogeneous standards, committed to cultivating high-skilled talents with sound personality and psychology, ability to solve practical problems, innovative awareness and sustainable development ability.

学院现设置高职专业11个，涵盖护理、助产、药学、中药学、医学检验技术、康复治疗技术等领域，其中护理（健康与社会照护方向）为全国首创，部分专业填补了海南乃至全国相关领域高等职业教育的空白。学校拥有完善的教学设施和实训条件，建有基础护理、助产、药学、康复等多个专业实验实训中心，并与全省85%以上的三甲医院和100%的二甲医院建立了校外实训基地，为学生实践能力培养提供坚实保障。

The college currently offers 11 higher vocational majors, covering nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, Chinese materia medica, medical laboratory technology, rehabilitation therapy technology and other fields. Among them, nursing (health and social care direction) is the first of its kind in China, and some majors have filled the gap in higher vocational education in related fields in Hainan and even the whole country. The college has complete teaching facilities and training conditions, with multiple professional experimental training centers for basic nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, rehabilitation, etc., and has established off-campus training bases with more than 85% of the tertiary hospitals and 100% of the secondary hospitals in the province, providing a solid guarantee for the cultivation of students' practical ability.

作为国家教育部职成司认定的“1+X证书”试点院校，学院拥有9个职业技能证书试点项目，覆盖全生命周期的健康照护。“海南乡村卫生健康科教讲师团”项目被评为2020年教育部“终身学习品牌项目”，彰显了学院在推动区域卫生健康事业发展和终身教育方面的积极贡献。

As a "1+X Certificate" pilot college recognized by the Vocational and Adult Education Department of the Ministry of Education, the college has 9 vocational skill certificate pilot projects covering the whole life cycle of health care. The "Hainan Rural Health Science and Education Lecturer Group" project was rated as the "Lifelong Learning Brand Project" by the Ministry of Education in 2020, demonstrating the college's active contribution to promoting the development of regional health undertakings and lifelong education.
