哈尔滨职业技术大学是哈尔滨市政府主办的公办本科层次职业院校，前身为哈尔滨职业技术学院，2024年5月经教育部批准设立，成为黑龙江省内唯一的本科层次职业院校。学校办学历史可追溯至1956年，2002年起由原哈尔滨市经济管理干部学院等8所院校合并组建，2018年哈尔滨市职工医学院并入。学校以“组合创新、多元共享、融合发展”为办学理念，秉持“修德、塑能、创新、致远”校训，形成“躬耕寒地、艰苦创业、自强不息”的校园文化，是国家“双高计划”高水平学校立项建设单位，全国职业院校排名稳居东北前列。

Harbin Vocational and Technical University is a public undergraduate vocational college sponsored by Harbin Municipal Government. Its predecessor was Harbin Vocational and Technical College, which was approved by the Ministry of Education in May 2024 to establish the university, becoming the only undergraduate vocational college in Heilongjiang Province. Tracing its roots back to 1956, the university was formed by the merger of 8 institutions including the former Harbin Economic Management Cadre College starting from 2002, with Harbin Workers' Medical College merged into it in 2018. Adhering to the educational philosophy of "Combined Innovation, Diversified Sharing, Integrated Development" and the school motto of "Cultivating Morality, Shaping Abilities, Innovating, Striving for Distant Goals", it has fostered a campus culture of "Working Hard in Cold Regions, Pioneering with Perseverance, Self-Improvement". It is a national "Double High-Level Plan" high-level school project construction unit, ranking among the top vocational colleges in Northeast China.

With engineering as its main focus, the university covers multiple disciplines including science, engineering, economics, management, arts, and medicine. It initially offers 5 vocational undergraduate programs: Intelligent Control Technology, Material Forming and Control Engineering, E-Commerce, Food Nutrition and Health, and Pharmaceutical Engineering Technology. Boasting a well-structured "Triple-Type Teacher Team", it has built practical teaching bases such as Harbin Vocational Education Park and Intelligent Factory. Closely aligned with regional industrial needs, the university cultivates high-end technical and skilled talents with the spirit of red arduous entrepreneurship, green ecological civilization literacy, and blue intelligent technology, providing talent support for the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China.
