淮北师范大学是国家公办全日制普通高等学校，为省属重点综合性大学，获批安徽省特色高水平大学建设（培育）高校，院校标识码4134010373。学校始建于1974年，时为安徽师范大学淮北分校；1978年12月经国务院批准定名为淮北煤炭师范学院，隶属原煤炭工业部；1998年9月实行中央与地方共建、以安徽省管理为主的管理体制；2010年3月经教育部批准更名为淮北师范大学。学校现有相山、滨湖两个校区，分别位于安徽省淮北市相山区东山路100号和烈山区沱河东路8号，校园占地面积2400余亩，校舍建筑面积67万余平方米，中外文纸质藏书和电子文献790余万册。

Huaibei Normal University is a public full-time ordinary institution of higher education in China, a key provincial comprehensive university, and an approved (cultivation) university for the construction of characteristic high-level universities in Anhui Province, with the institutional identification code 4134010373. Founded in 1974 as the Huaibei Branch of Anhui Normal University, it was renamed Huaibei Coal Teachers College with the approval of the State Council in December 1978, under the former Ministry of Coal Industry. In September 1998, it adopted a management system of joint construction by the central and local governments, mainly managed by Anhui Province. In March 2010, it was renamed Huaibei Normal University upon approval by the Ministry of Education. The university has two campuses, Xiangshan and Binhu, located at No. 100 Dongshan Road, Xiangshan District, and No. 8 Tuohe East Road, Lieshan District, Huaibei City, Anhui Province, respectively, covering an area of over 2,400 mu with a building area of more than 670,000 square meters, and over 7.9 million Chinese and foreign paper books and electronic documents.

学校学科门类齐全，现有15个学院、70个本科专业，2018年本科专业整体进入安徽省一本招生；拥有16个一级学科硕士学位授权点、11个硕士专业学位授权点，3个学科进入ESI全球排名前1%。师资队伍实力雄厚，现有专任教师1480人，其中博士680余人（含在读博士），具有高级专业技术职称630余人，全国优秀教师、五一劳动奖章获得者等国家级人才14人，享受国务院特殊津贴者3人。教学科研平台优势突出，拥有11个国家级一流专业建设点、5个国家级特色专业，1个教育部重点实验室、3个安徽省重点实验室，以及国家级特殊教育师资培养培训重点基地等多个国家级、省级平台。

The university has a comprehensive range of disciplines, with 15 colleges and 70 undergraduate programs, all of which entered the first batch of undergraduate enrollment in Anhui Province in 2018. It boasts 16 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, 11 professional master's degree authorization points, and 3 disciplines ranked in the top 1% of ESI globally. The faculty is strong, with 1,480 full-time teachers, including over 680 doctors (including doctoral students), more than 630 with senior professional titles, 14 national-level talents such as National Excellent Teachers and May Day Labor Medal winners, and 3 recipients of special government allowances from the State Council. It has outstanding teaching and research platforms, including 11 national first-class professional construction sites, 5 national characteristic specialties, 1 key laboratory of the Ministry of Education, 3 key laboratories of Anhui Province, and multiple national and provincial platforms such as the National Key Base for Cultivating and Training Special Education Teachers.
