Hubei Polytechnic University is a provincial public undergraduate university mainly focusing on engineering, integrating engineering with science, and coordinating the development of multiple disciplines such as engineering, science, economics, management, medicine, literature, education, and art. It is located in Huangshi City, Hubei Province. Adhering to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and the school motto of "Virtue, Exploration, Pragmatism, and Application", the university is committed to cultivating high-quality applied talents with solid foundations, broad knowledge, strong practical abilities, innovative spirit, and social responsibility.

学校设有19个教学院部，开设63个本科专业，拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点7个，省级一流本科专业建设点21个。现有全日制普通本专科生、留学生、研究生2万余人，教职工1500余人，其中高级职称教师600余人，博士、硕士学位教师占比90%以上。

The university has 19 teaching colleges and departments, offering 63 undergraduate majors, including 7 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites and 21 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites. Currently, it has over 20,000 full-time undergraduate and junior college students, international students, and postgraduates, and more than 1,500 faculty members, among whom over 600 have senior professional titles, and over 90% have doctoral or master's degrees.

学校坚持产教融合、校企合作，与200多家企业建立了稳定的合作关系，建有国家级众创空间、国家级工程实践教育中心、省级重点实验室等各类科研平台30余个。近年来，学校获国家科技进步奖、教育部人文社科奖等国家级、省部级奖项30余项，发表高水平学术论文2000余篇，授权发明专利300余项。

Adhering to the integration of industry and education and school-enterprise cooperation, the university has established stable cooperative relations with more than 200 enterprises, and has built more than 30 scientific research platforms such as national maker spaces, national engineering practice education centers, and provincial key laboratories. In recent years, the university has won more than 30 national and provincial awards such as the National Science and Technology Progress Award and the Humanities and Social Sciences Award of the Ministry of Education, published more than 2,000 high-level academic papers, and obtained more than 300 authorized invention patents.
