湖北生态工程职业技术学院是经湖北省人民政府批准、教育部备案设立的国有公办全日制普通高等院校，创建于1952年，地处武汉市江夏区，毗邻武汉·中国光谷，是华中地区唯一一所生态类高校。学校以培养美丽事业建设者为使命，先后荣获世界技能大赛突出贡献单位、国家级高技能人才培训基地、湖北省双高计划建设院校等多项荣誉称号，形成了"绿色耕耘、技能培养、生态品牌、美丽事业"的办学特色。

Hubei Ecology Vocational College is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the Hubei Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. Founded in 1952, it is located in Jiangxia District, Wuhan City, adjacent to Wuhan·China Optics Valley, and is the only ecological college in central China. With the mission of cultivating builders of beautiful undertakings, the college has been awarded many honors such as Outstanding Contribution Unit of WorldSkills Competition, National High-skilled Talent Training Base, and Hubei Double High Plan Construction College, forming the school-running characteristics of "green cultivation, skill training, ecological brand, and beautiful undertakings".

学校占地面积729亩，校外实习基地11000亩，校舍建筑面积30万平方米，固定资产近4.6亿元。现有教职工750人，其中专任教师621人，高级职称人员176人，双师素质教师528人；全日制在校生12000余人，设有生态环境学院、园林建工学院等8院1部，围绕生态文明建设打造了林业技术、园林技术等五美专业群，开设农林牧渔、资源环境与安全等11个大类30余个专业，其中国家骨干专业5个，省级品牌专业4个，形成了覆盖生态产业链的特色专业体系。

The college covers an area of 729 mu, with 11,000 mu of off-campus practice bases and a building area of 300,000 square meters, with fixed assets of nearly 460 million yuan. It has 750 faculty members, including 621 full-time teachers, 176 with senior titles, and 528 double-qualified teachers; more than 12,000 full-time students. It has 8 colleges and 1 department including the College of Ecological Environment and the College of Landscape Architecture and Construction Engineering. Focusing on ecological civilization construction, it has built five beautiful professional groups such as forestry technology and landscape technology, offering more than 30 majors in 11 categories including agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, resources, environment and safety, among which 5 are national key majors and 4 are provincial brand majors, forming a characteristic professional system covering the ecological industry chain.

学校坚持产教融合、校企合作的办学模式，建有100多个设备先进的校内实训室和基地，以及120余个稳定的校外实训基地，与100多家大型企业深度合作，共建现代学徒制班和订单班。近年来，学校教科研成果丰硕，主持省部级以上项目300余项，获国家科技进步奖3项、省级科技进步奖19项，其中国家科技进步一等奖1项，为生态文明建设和区域经济发展培养了大批高素质技术技能人才。

Adhering to the school-running mode of industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, the college has built more than 100 advanced on-campus training rooms and bases, as well as more than 120 stable off-campus training bases, and has in-depth cooperation with more than 100 large enterprises to jointly build modern apprenticeship classes and order classes. In recent years, the college has achieved fruitful teaching and research results, presided over more than 300 provincial-level and above projects, and won 3 national science and technology progress awards and 19 provincial science and technology progress awards, including 1 first prize of national science and technology progress, cultivating a large number of high-quality technical and skilled talents for ecological civilization construction and regional economic development.
