湖北科技学院是湖北省属普通本科院校、教育部本科教学工作水平评估优秀高校、全国百所产教融合示范高校、全国首批卓越医生教育培养计划项目试点高校和湖北省转型发展试点高校。学校坐落在湖北省咸宁市，现有温泉、咸安两个校区，校园总面积1861亩，校舍建筑面积66万平方米。

Hubei University of Science and Technology is a provincial public undergraduate university in Hubei Province. It has been awarded "Excellent" in the undergraduate teaching evaluation by the Ministry of Education, and is recognized as one of the National 100 Model Universities for Industry-Education Integration, a pilot university for the National Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program, and a pilot university for transformation and development in Hubei Province. Located in Xianning City, Hubei Province, the university has two campuses: Wenquan and Xian'an, covering a total area of 1,861 mu with a building area of 660,000 square meters.

学校办学历史溯源于1937年创立的蒲圻简易师范学校和1965年创办的湖北医学院咸宁分院，历经传承演变，2002年咸宁医学院与咸宁师范高等专科学校合并组建咸宁学院，2012年更名为湖北科技学院。学校现有各类在校生20000余人，其中研究生300余人、留学生120余人；教职工1800余人，其中正高职称170余人、博士420余人、研究生导师120余人，拥有特聘院士、教育部新世纪优秀人才等一批高层次人才。

The university's educational history can be traced back to Puqi Simple Normal School founded in 1937 and Xianning Branch of Hubei Medical College established in 1965. After evolution, Xianning Medical College and Xianning Teachers College merged to form Xianning University in 2002, and was renamed Hubei University of Science and Technology in 2012. Currently, the university has over 20,000 students, including more than 300 postgraduates and 120 international students. The faculty consists of over 1,800 members, including more than 170 full professors, 420 doctors, and 120 graduate supervisors, with a group of high-level talents such as distinguished academicians and New Century Excellent Talents of the Ministry of Education.

学校以医学为传统优势学科，形成了理学、工学、经济学、教育学、文学、历史学、农学、医学、管理学、艺术学等多学科交叉融合的学科体系，拥有国家特色专业建设点3个、国家级工程实验室1个、省级重点学科4个，荣获“生态园林式学校”“湖北省花园式学校”等称号。

With medicine as its traditional advantageous discipline, the university has formed an interdisciplinary system integrating science, engineering, economics, education, literature, history, agriculture, medicine, management, and art. It boasts 3 national characteristic specialty construction sites, 1 national engineering laboratory, and 4 provincial key disciplines. The university has been awarded titles such as "Ecological Garden-style School" and "Hubei Provincial Garden-style School".
