湖北汽车工业学院科技学院是一所经国家教育部批准设立的本科层次独立学院，成立于2003年，由湖北汽车工业学院与东风汽车公司等企业联合举办。学校坐落于中国商用车之都——湖北省十堰市，依托母体院校的行业资源和区域产业优势，形成了立足汽车产业、服务地方经济的办学定位，以工科为主，重点发展车辆工程、机械设计制造、电子信息等特色专业，注重实践教学与产业需求的深度对接。

Hubei University of Automotive Technology College of Science and Technology is an undergraduate-level independent college approved by the Ministry of Education of China. Established in 2003, it is jointly organized by Hubei University of Automotive Technology and enterprises such as Dongfeng Motor Corporation. Located in Shiyan City, Hubei Province, known as the "Capital of Commercial Vehicles in China", the college leverages the industry resources of its parent university and regional industrial advantages to form a school-running orientation based on the automotive industry and serving local economic development. It focuses on engineering disciplines, with key development in characteristic majors such as Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Design and Manufacturing, and Electronic Information, emphasizing in-depth integration of practical teaching with industrial needs.

学院专业特色鲜明，构建了以汽车、材料、电子、机械为主干，管理、信息、人文为支撑的学科专业体系，现有车辆工程、机械设计制造及其自动化、电子信息工程等23个本科专业，其中电子信息工程和产品设计获批湖北省一流本科专业建设点。依托东风汽车公司大工程背景，学院形成了“双师双能型”教师队伍，聘请企业工程师担任兼职教师，强化实践教学，学生在各类学科竞赛中屡获佳绩，近三年获国际、国家级和省级奖励1400余项。

The college boasts distinctive professional features, establishing a disciplinary system with automotive, materials, electronics, and machinery as the backbone, supported by management, information, and humanities disciplines. It currently offers 23 undergraduate majors including Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Design and Manufacturing及其Automation, and Electronic Information Engineering, among which Electronic Information Engineering and Product Design have been approved as first-class undergraduate major construction sites in Hubei Province. Relying on the engineering background of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, the college has formed a "double-qualified and double-capable" teaching team, employing corporate engineers as part-time teachers to strengthen practical teaching. Students have achieved remarkable results in various academic competitions, winning over 1,400 international, national, and provincial awards in the past three years.

学院秉承“求是创新”校训，践行“四自”教育模式，致力于培养应用型创新人才，迄今已为汽车行业和社会发展输送17000余名毕业生，就业率长期保持在93%以上，稳居全省同类院校前列。学院先后获评湖北省高校思想政治教育先进基层单位、高校基层党组织党建工作示范单位等荣誉称号，是一所工程能力突出、专业特色鲜明的应用型本科院校。

Adhering to the school motto of "Seeking Truth and Innovation" and practicing the "Four-Self" education model, the college is committed to cultivating applied innovative talents. It has so far delivered over 17,000 graduates to the automotive industry and social development, with an employment rate consistently exceeding 93%, ranking among the top in similar institutions in the province. The college has successively been awarded honors such as "Advanced Grassroots Unit for Ideological and Political Education in Hubei Provincial Colleges" and "Demonstration Unit for Party Building Work in Grassroots Party Organizations of Colleges and Universities", and is an applied undergraduate institution with outstanding engineering capabilities and distinctive professional characteristics.
