湖北文理学院是省属普通高等学校、硕士学位授予单位，位于全国历史文化名城、湖北省省域副中心城市——襄阳市，地处中华民族智慧化身诸葛亮的故居——古隆中。学校办学历史最早可追溯至1958年创办的襄阳师范专科学校，历经武汉大学襄阳分校、襄樊学院等发展阶段，2012年更名为湖北文理学院。学校是教育部本科教学工作水平评估优秀学校、全国普通高等学校毕业生就业工作先进集体、全国民族团结进步模范集体，坚持应用型、综合性办学定位，以“淡泊明志，宁静致远”为校训，弘扬“隆中精神”，致力于培养高层次应用型专门人才。

Hubei University of Arts and Science is a provincial public undergraduate university with the authority to grant master's degrees. Located in Xiangyang, a national historical and cultural city and the sub-central city of Hubei Province, it sits at the former residence of Zhuge Liang, the symbol of wisdom in Chinese culture - Gulongzhong. Its history dates back to Xiangyang Normal College founded in 1958, evolving through stages such as Xiangyang Branch of Wuhan University and Xiangfan University, and was renamed to its current name in 2012. It has been awarded Excellent School in Undergraduate Teaching Evaluation by the Ministry of Education and Advanced Collective in National College Graduate Employment Work. The university offers a comprehensive range of disciplines with 60 undergraduate programs covering 9 fields including economics, law, education, literature, science, engineering, medicine, management, and arts, hosting over 20,000 full-time students. It has 3 first-level discipline master's programs and 14 professional master's programs, 4 national-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites, and 2 national-level characteristic majors. Clinical Medicine and Engineering disciplines have entered the top 1% of ESI global rankings, with annual research funding exceeding 100 million yuan and the number of authorized patents steadily ranking among the top 10 universities in Hubei Province.

师资队伍实力雄厚，现有教职工1715人，专任教师1229人，其中正高级228人，副高级488人，博士学位教师507人，国家级、省级高层次人才30余人。校园文化特色鲜明，“隆中诸葛读书工程”“格桑花援藏支教团队”等品牌活动产生广泛社会影响，学校团委是高校系统唯一入选首批全国学雷锋活动示范点的单位。

The university boasts a strong faculty of 1715 staff, including 1229 full-time teachers with 228 professors, 488 associate professors, and 507 doctoral degree holders, along with over 30 national and provincial high-level talents. Its campus culture features distinctive brands like the "Longzhong Zhuge Reading Project" and the "Gesanghua Tibet-aiding Teaching Team", which have exerted extensive social influence.
