杭州电子科技大学信息工程学院是1999年由杭州电子科技大学举办、经浙江省人民政府批准、2004年由教育部确认的第一批独立学院。2012年7月，学院与临安市政府签署合作协议共建新校区，2019年正式通过独立学院规范设置省级验收。学院地处杭州城西科创大走廊的青山湖畔，占地面积500亩，建筑面积17.3万平方米，面向全国16个省市区招生，现有全日制本科生10100余人。

Hangzhou Dianzi University Information Engineering College is one of the first independent colleges approved by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province in 1999 and confirmed by the Ministry of Education in 2004, sponsored by Hangzhou Dianzi University. In July 2012, the college signed a cooperation agreement with Lin'an Municipal Government to co-build a new campus, and formally passed the provincial acceptance for the standardized setting of independent colleges in 2019. Located by the Qingshan Lake in the West Hangzhou Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, the college covers an area of 500 mu (about 333,333 square meters) with a building area of 173,000 square meters. It enrolls students from 16 provinces and cities nationwide, with more than 10,100 full-time undergraduates.

学院秉承杭州电子科技大学“笃学力行、守正求新”的精神，形成了电子信息优势明显、经济管理特色突出的学科布局，构建了计算机类、机械自动化类、电子信息类、经济管理类、艺术设计类、英语类六大专业群。拥有省一流学科2个，省“十三五”优势特色专业1个，省“十二五”新兴特色专业3个，省级一流本科专业建设点5个，建有省级实验示范中心（电子信息实验示范中心）等各类实验室81个，着力培养基础知识扎实、实践能力强的高素质应用型人才。

Upholding the spirit of "Diligent Learning and Practical Action, Upholding Integrity and Pursuing Innovation" from Hangzhou Dianzi University, the college has formed a disciplinary layout with distinctive advantages in electronic information and prominent features in economics and management. It has built six major professional groups: computer, mechanical automation, electronic information, economics and management, art design, and English. The college boasts 2 provincial first-class disciplines, 1 provincial "13th Five-Year" advantageous characteristic major, 3 provincial "12th Five-Year" emerging characteristic majors, and 5 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites. It has 81 laboratories of various types, including a provincial experimental demonstration center (Electronic Information Experimental Demonstration Center), focusing on cultivating high-quality applied talents with solid basic knowledge and strong practical ability.
