河北建筑工程学院创建于1950年，1978年成为国务院批准的首批具有学士学位授予权院校，2013年成为硕士学位授予单位，是河北省文明单位，一带一路建筑类大学国际联盟和京津冀高校建筑科技协同创新联盟高校。学校坐落于冬奥名城张家口市，占地面积810亩，建筑面积28万平方米，现有全日制在校生14629人（其中硕士研究生855人，本科生13774人）。

Hebei University of Architecture was founded in 1950. In 1978, it became one of the first institutions authorized to grant bachelor's degrees with the approval of the State Council. In 2013, it was accredited as a master's degree-granting unit. It is a civilized unit in Hebei Province, a member of the International Alliance of Universities for the Belt and Road Architecture, and a member of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei University Alliance for Collaborative Innovation in Architectural Science and Technology. Located in Zhangjiakou, a well-known city for the Winter Olympics, the university covers an area of 810 mu with a building area of 280,000 square meters. Currently, it has 14,629 full-time students, including 855 postgraduates and 13,774 undergraduates.

学校以工为主，以土木建筑学科为特色，工、管、理、文、艺多学科相互支撑、协调发展。设有11个二级学院（系），拥有2个一级学科学术型硕士学位授权点、6个专业型硕士学位授权类别，47个本科专业。其中3个专业为国家级一流本科专业建设点，7个为省级一流本科专业建设点，2个为河北省应用型转型示范专业，3个专业通过住建部专业教育评估。

The university focuses on engineering, with civil engineering and architecture as its featured disciplines, and promotes the coordinated development of multiple disciplines including engineering, management, science, liberal arts, and art. It has 11 secondary colleges (departments), 2 first-level discipline academic master's degree authorization points, 6 professional master's degree authorization categories, and 47 undergraduate majors. Among them, 3 majors are national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 7 are provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 2 are Hebei Province application-oriented transformation demonstration majors, and 3 majors have passed the professional education evaluation of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
