河北北方学院地处北京2022年冬奥会和冬残奥会举办地之一张家口市，是河北省西北部具有硕士学位授予权的综合性省属本科院校。学校于2003年经教育部批准，由张家口医学院、张家口师范专科学校和张家口农业高等专科学校三所省属高校合并组建而成，其办学历史可追溯至1923年建立的张家口农业高等专科学校及1945年建立的晋察冀白求恩卫生学校。

Hebei North University is located in Zhangjiakou City, one of the host cities of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics. It is a comprehensive provincial undergraduate university with the right to grant master's degrees in northwestern Hebei Province. Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2003, the university was formed by the merger of three provincial institutions: Zhangjiakou Medical College, Zhangjiakou Teachers College, and Zhangjiakou Agricultural College. Its educational history can be traced back to Zhangjiakou Agricultural College founded in 1923 and Jinchaji Bethune Health School established in 1945.

学校现有西校区、东校区、南校区和北校区四个校区，校园占地面积104.53万平方米，建筑面积47.6万平方米，图书馆纸质藏书210万余册。设有医学部、18个二级学院和1个教学部，覆盖理学、工学、农学、医学等11个学科门类，拥有5个一级学科硕士学位授权点和6个硕士专业学位授权类别，形成以医学和农学为优势，多学科交叉融合的发展格局。

The university has four campuses: West, East, South, and North, covering an area of 1.0453 million square meters with a building area of 476,000 square meters. The library houses over 2.1 million paper books. It comprises a Medical Department, 18 secondary colleges, and 1 teaching department, covering 11 disciplines including science, engineering, agriculture, and medicine. The university has 5 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points and 6 professional master's degree categories, forming a development pattern with medicine and agriculture as advantages and interdisciplinary integration.

学校现有教职工5337人（含两所直属附属医院），全日制在校生25000余人，其中硕士研究生1695人，留学生290人。拥有2所直属附属医院、3所非直属附属医院及520个专业实践教学基地，药理学、医学信息学等3个河北省重点学科，临床医学、药学等国家级一流本科专业建设点，是教育部卓越农林人才教育培养计划入选高校。

The university has 5,337 faculty members (including two affiliated hospitals), over 25,000 full-time students, including 1,695 master's students and 290 international students. It has 2 directly affiliated hospitals, 3 non-directly affiliated hospitals, and 520 professional practice teaching bases. The university boasts 3 key disciplines of Hebei Province such as pharmacology and medical informatics, and national first-class undergraduate program construction sites including clinical medicine and pharmacy.
