河北石油职业技术大学是中央与地方共建、以河北省人民政府管理为主的公办本科职业大学，位于河北省承德市。学校始于1903年创办于天津的北洋工艺学堂，是我国兴办最早的高等工业职业院校之一。1952年开始主要面向石油工业服务，1958年迁至河北省承德市，2021年经教育部批准，整合河北工业大学城市学院与承德石油高等专科学校办学资源，转设为河北石油职业技术大学。

Hebei Petroleum University of Technology is a public undergraduate vocational university jointly built by the central and local governments and mainly managed by the People's Government of Hebei Province, located in Chengde City, Hebei Province. The university originated from the Beiyang Institute of Technology founded in Tianjin in 1903, and is one of the earliest higher industrial vocational colleges in China. It began to mainly serve the petroleum industry in 1952, moved to Chengde City, Hebei Province in 1958, and was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2021 to integrate the educational resources of the City College of Hebei University of Technology and Chengde Petroleum College to establish Hebei Petroleum University of Technology.

The university is a construction institution of high-level professional groups in the national "Double High Plan", a high-level backbone vocational college in the national machinery industry serving advanced manufacturing, a founding member unit of the "the Belt and Road" Alliance for Petroleum and Chemical Vocational Education in China, and was selected into the "Thirty Schools in Thirty Years" by "Chinese Vocational and Technical Education". It has ranked fifth in the national comprehensive competitiveness ranking of vocational undergraduate colleges for three consecutive years. 学校占地面积1140亩，校舍建筑面积39万余平方米，教学科研仪器设备2.4亿余元，图书馆纸质藏书104万余册。开设职业本科专业25个、专科专业47个，现有全日制在校生13000余人，教职工845人，其中高级职称教师330人，硕士以上学位教师673人。学校建有多个国内领先的特色高水平专业群，与德国、韩国等国外高校开展合作办学，致力于培养高层次技术技能人才，为国家能源安全和区域经济社会发展做出突出贡献。

The university covers an area of 1140 mu, with a school building area of more than 390,000 square meters, teaching and research instruments and equipment of more than 240 million yuan, and a library with more than 1.04 million paper books. It offers 25 vocational undergraduate majors and 47 junior college majors, with more than 13,000 full-time students and 845 faculty members, including 330 teachers with senior titles and 673 teachers with master's degree or above. The university has built a number of leading domestic characteristic high-level professional groups, carried out cooperative education with foreign universities in Germany, South Korea, etc., and is committed to cultivating high-level technical and skilled talents, making outstanding contributions to national energy security and regional economic and social development.
