河北农业大学现代科技学院成立于2001年7月，是经河北省政府批准、教育部确认、由河北农业大学以新机制、新模式举办的全日制本科层次的独立学院。学院秉承河北农业大学百年学府深厚的文化底蕴，依托河北农业大学优质的教育教学资源和良好的教育环境，落实立德树人根本任务，坚持理论与实践紧密结合的办学理念，突出厚基础、宽专业，高技能、强能力的办学思想，以培养具有社会责任感、创新精神和实践能力的高素质的应用型人才为根本任务，致力将学院建设成为特色鲜明的适合社会经济发展需要的高水平的独立学院。

Founded in July 2001, the College of Modern Science and Technology of Hebei Agricultural University is a full-time undergraduate independent college approved by the Hebei Provincial Government, confirmed by the Ministry of Education, and run by Hebei Agricultural University with a new mechanism and model. Upholding the profound cultural heritage of Hebei Agricultural University, a century-old institution of higher learning, the College relies on the high-quality educational resources and favorable educational environment of Hebei Agricultural University. It implements the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, adheres to the school-running philosophy of closely integrating theory with practice, and emphasizes the school-running ideology of laying a solid foundation, offering broad majors, and cultivating high skills and strong abilities. The fundamental task of the College is to cultivate high-quality applied talents with a sense of social responsibility, innovative spirit and practical ability, and strive to build the College into a distinctive and high-level independent college suitable for the needs of social and economic development.

学院累计有5420余名同学考取硕士研究生，包括清华大学、北京大学、南开大学、中央财经大学、北京师范大学、中国农业大学等知名院校；920余名同学考取公务员、河北省委组织部选调生；4900余名同学进入国有大型企业工作，毕业去向落实率在河北省同类院校中名列前茅。近五年来，累计获国家特等奖2项、一等奖8项、二等奖16项、三等奖35项；河北省特等奖13项、一等奖73项、二等奖136项、三等奖223项。在大学生创新大赛、大学生节能减排社会实践与科技竞赛等大赛中多次荣获优秀组织奖。

More than 5,420 students of the College have been admitted to master's programs in prestigious universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Nankai University, Central University of Finance and Economics, Beijing Normal University, and China Agricultural University. Over 920 students have been admitted as civil servants or selected candidates by the Organization Department of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee. More than 4,900 students have entered large state-owned enterprises for work, and the employment rate of graduates ranks among the top in similar institutions in Hebei Province. In the past five years, the College has won 2 national special prizes, 8 first prizes, 16 second prizes, and 35 third prizes; 13 Hebei Provincial special prizes, 73 first prizes, 136 second prizes, and 223 third prizes. It has also won the Excellent Organization Award many times in competitions such as the College Student Innovation Competition and the College Student Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Social Practice and Technology Competition.
