河北经贸大学是河北省重点建设的骨干大学，是以经济学、管理学、法学为主，兼有哲学、文学、理学、工学和艺术学的多学科财经类大学。学校始于1953年创办的河北省供销合作社石家庄合作学校，1995年由河北财经学院、河北经贸学院、河北商业高等专科学校合并组建定名为河北经贸大学。2016年，学校成为河北省省级博士立项建设单位。

Hebei University of Economics and Business is a key backbone university in Hebei Province, which is a multi-disciplinary financial and economic university focusing on economics, management, and law, with philosophy, literature, science, engineering, and art. The university originated from the Shijiazhuang Cooperative School of Hebei Supply and Marketing Cooperative founded in 1953. In 1995, it was merged and named Hebei University of Economics and Business by Hebei Institute of Finance and Economics, Hebei Institute of Economics and Trade, and Hebei Commercial College. In 2016, the university became a provincial doctoral project construction unit in Hebei Province.

学校分北、南、西三个校区办学，校本部位于石家庄市新华区学府路，地处石家庄市西北部滹沱河畔，占地2630余亩，绿化面积达40%以上，被授予"全国绿化模范单位"称号。在教育部一流本科专业建设"双万计划"中，学校共有38个一流本科专业建设点，其中国家级11个，省级27个，占本科招生专业数的79%。

The university has three campuses: North, South, and West. The headquarters is located on Xuefu Road, Xinhua District, Shijiazhuang City, along the Hutuo River in the northwest of Shijiazhuang City, covering an area of more than 2630 mu with a greening area of over 40%, and has been awarded the title of "National Greening Model Unit". In the "Double Ten Thousand Plan" for the construction of first-class undergraduate majors by the Ministry of Education, the university has 38 first-class undergraduate major construction sites, including 11 national-level and 27 provincial-level, accounting for 79% of the number of undergraduate enrollment majors.
