合肥科技职业学院是2012年5月经安徽省人民政府批准、教育部备案的全日制普通高等学校。学院前身为1984年成立的安徽微型机函授大学，1987年经国务院科技领导小组批准成立中国计算机函授学院，是教育部指定的国家级计算机教育基地、计算机等级考试计划单列单位，累计为社会培养了100多万名计算机应用型人才，被誉为“中国计算机应用人才的摇篮”。

Hefei Science and Technology College is a full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Anhui Province and registered with the Ministry of Education in May 2012. Its predecessor was Anhui Microcomputer Correspondence University founded in 1984, and in 1987, with the approval of the Science and Technology Leading Group of the State Council, it was renamed China Computer Correspondence College. It is a national computer education base designated by the Ministry of Education and a separate planning unit for the National Computer Rank Examination, having cultivated over 1 million computer application talents for society and known as "the cradle of China's computer application talents".

学校位于国家科教名城——省会合肥，坐落在国家AAAA级紫蓬山风景区，毗邻合肥市国家级高新技术产业开发区。秉承“教育报国、启迪创新、成人成才”的办学宗旨，以立德树人为根本任务，形成了以电子信息类专业为引领，智能制造类和现代建筑类专业为主体、财经信息类和文化艺术类专业为两翼的学科专业体系，2022年获批安徽省地方技能型高水平大学建设单位，2023年列入安徽省高水平职业院校和专业群建设单位。

The college is located in Hefei, the national science and education city, situated in the national AAAA-level Ziping Mountain Scenic Area, adjacent to Hefei National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. Adhering to the school-running philosophy of "Educating for the Country, Inspiring Innovation, Cultivating Talents", with moral education as the fundamental task, it has formed a discipline system led by electronic information majors, supported by intelligent manufacturing and modern architecture majors, and supplemented by financial information and cultural art majors. In 2022, it was approved as a construction unit for Anhui Provincial Local Skilled High-level University, and in 2023, it was listed as a construction unit for Anhui Provincial High-level Vocational Colleges and Professional Groups.
