黄淮学院是2004年经教育部批准成立的省属全日制普通本科高校，坐落于素有“豫州之腹地、天下之最中”美誉的河南省驻马店市，办学历史可追溯至1971年。学校是教育部应用技术大学改革战略研究试点院校、中国应用技术大学（学院）联盟副理事长单位、河南省首批示范性应用技术类型本科院校，以“厚德、博学、笃行、自强”为校训，弘扬“除了奋斗、别无选择”的黄淮精神。

Huanghuai University is a public full-time ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education in 2004. Located in Zhumadian City, Henan Province, known as "the hinterland of Yuzhou and the center of the world", its educational history dates back to 1971. It is a pilot university for the reform strategy research of application-oriented technology universities of the Ministry of Education, vice-chairman unit of the China Alliance of Application-Oriented Universities (Colleges), and one of the first batch of demonstration application-oriented undergraduate colleges in Henan Province. The university adheres to the motto of "Houde, Boxue, Duxing, Ziqiang" (Virtue, Erudition, Practice, Self-improvement) and promotes the Huanghuai spirit of "No choice but to struggle".

学校总占地面积2760亩，设有18个二级学院，开设59个本科专业，涵盖工学、理学、管理学、经济学、文学、艺术学、法学、农学、教育学等九大学科门类，其中国家级一流专业建设点3个，省级一流专业建设点15个。全日制在校生2.2万余人，教职工1620人，其中高级职称教师466人、博士学位教师363人，拥有国务院特殊津贴专家、省管优秀专家等高层次人才200余人。

The university covers a total area of 2760 mu, with 18 secondary colleges and 59 undergraduate majors, covering nine disciplines including engineering, science, management, economics, literature, art, law, agriculture, and education. It has 3 national first-class professional construction sites and 15 provincial first-class professional construction sites. There are more than 22,000 full-time students and 1,620 faculty members, including 466 teachers with senior titles and 363 teachers with doctoral degrees. It also has more than 200 high-level talents such as experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council and outstanding experts managed by the province.

学校坚持“地方性、应用型、开放式”办学定位，深化产教融合，共建有防水材料与工程产业学院等多个省级重点现代产业学院，荣获全国首批“深化创新创业教育改革示范高校”“国家级众创空间”等称号。自2014年起连续承办九届教育部“产教融合发展战略国际论坛”，并与20多个国家和地区的高校开展合作，入选河南省国际化特色高校建设单位。

Adhering to the school-running orientation of "local, application-oriented and open", the university deepens the integration of industry and education, and has jointly established several provincial key modern industrial colleges such as the Waterproof Material and Engineering Industry College. It has been awarded titles such as the first batch of "National Demonstration Universities for Deepening Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Reform" and "National Mass Innovation Space". Since 2014, it has successively hosted nine sessions of the "International Forum on the Development Strategy of Industry-Education Integration" organized by the Ministry of Education, and carried out cooperation with universities in more than 20 countries and regions, and was selected as a construction unit for international characteristic universities in Henan Province.
