河南科技学院是一所省属普通本科院校，始建于1939年，前身为中国共产党早期创建的延安自然科学院大学部生物系，历经北方大学农学院、华北大学农学院、北京农业大学长治分校、平原农学院、百泉农业专科学校、河南职业技术师范学院等时期，2004年5月经教育部批准更名为河南科技学院。学校地处河南省新乡市，学科专业涵盖农学、工学、理学等9大学科门类，拥有25个教学单位、76个本科专业，全日制普通在校生2.6万余人，是国家2011计划协同创新单位、河南省博士学位授予重点立项建设单位、河南省特色骨干学科（群）建设高校。

Henan Institute of Science and Technology is a provincial public undergraduate university, founded in 1939. Its predecessor was the Biology Department of the University Division of Yan'an Natural Science Institute, which was established by the Communist Party of China in the early days. It has gone through periods such as the Agricultural College of Northern University, the Agricultural College of North China University, the Changzhi Branch of Beijing Agricultural University, Pingyuan Agricultural College, Baiquan Agricultural College, and Henan Vocational and Technical Normal College. In May 2004, it was renamed Henan Institute of Science and Technology with the approval of the Ministry of Education. Located in Xinxiang City, Henan Province, the university covers 9 disciplines including agriculture, engineering, and science, with 25 teaching units and 76 undergraduate majors. It has over 26,000 full-time regular students and is a collaborative innovation unit of the National 2011 Plan, a key project construction unit for doctoral degree authorization in Henan Province, and a construction university for characteristic key disciplines (groups) in Henan Province.

学校赓续红色血脉，坚守教育初心，形成了“源于农、兴于农、发展于农、服务于农”的鲜明办学特色。拥有省重点学科20个，硕士学位授权一级学科11个、硕士专业学位授权类别17个，农业科学、工程学、植物与动物科学3个学科进入ESI全球排名前1%。近五年获国家科学技术进步奖7项、国家技术发明奖3项，主持培育的小麦新品种“矮抗58”获2013年国家科技进步一等奖，为国家粮食生产核心区建设作出重大贡献。建校以来累计培养20余万名高级专门人才，获评教育部首批全国重点建设职教师资培训基地、国家级职业教育双师型教师培训基地。

The university inherits the red bloodline, adheres to the original aspiration of education, and has formed a distinctive school-running characteristic of "originating from agriculture, thriving on agriculture, developing through agriculture, and serving agriculture". It has 20 provincial key disciplines, 11 first-level disciplines authorized for master's degrees, and 17 categories of master's professional degree authorization. Three disciplines, namely Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, and Plant and Animal Sciences, have entered the top 1% of ESI global rankings. In the past five years, it has won 7 National Science and Technology Progress Awards and 3 National Technological Invention Awards. The wheat variety "Aikang 58" independently cultivated by the university won the first prize of National Science and Technology Progress in 2013, making significant contributions to the construction of the national grain production core area. Since its establishment, it has cultivated more than 200,000 senior professionals and has been awarded the first batch of National Key Construction Vocational Teacher Training Bases by the Ministry of Education and the National Vocational Education "Double-qualified" Teacher Training Base.
