黑龙江八一农垦大学是一所具有鲜明农垦特色的多科性大学，始建于1958年，由王震将军亲率十万转业官兵创办并兼任第一任校长。学校位于黑龙江省大庆市，是黑龙江省重点建设高校、国家“中西部高校基础能力建设工程”支持高校，2022年入选黑龙江省特色应用型本科示范高校。学校始终秉承“艰苦奋斗、无私奉献、务实求真、负重致远”的八一农大精神，为国家和地方培养了大批高素质应用型人才。

Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University is a multidisciplinary university with distinct agricultural reclamation characteristics. Founded in 1958, it was established by General Wang Zhen, who led 100,000 demobilized soldiers and served as the first president. Located in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, the university is a key construction university in Heilongjiang Province and a supported university under the "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in Central and Western China". In 2022, it was selected as a demonstration university for characteristic application-oriented undergraduate education in Heilongjiang Province. Adhering to the spirit of "hard work, selfless dedication, practicality and truth-seeking, and perseverance", the university has cultivated a large number of high-quality applied talents for the country and the region.

学校设有12个学院，开设54个本科专业，涵盖农、工、理、经、管、文、法、艺等八大学科门类。拥有4个一级学科博士学位授权点，11个一级学科硕士学位授权点，7个专业学位硕士授权类别。现有全日制本科生、研究生、留学生2万余人，教职工1500余人，其中高级职称人员600余人，享受国务院特殊津贴专家、龙江学者等省级以上人才100余人次。

The university has 12 colleges and offers 54 undergraduate majors, covering eight disciplines including agriculture, engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, and art. It has 4 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 11 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, and 7 professional master's degree authorization categories. Currently, there are over 20,000 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates, and international students, and more than 1,500 faculty members, including over 600 with senior professional titles and over 100 provincial-level talents such as experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council and Longjiang Scholars.

学校坚持产学研深度融合，建有国家级新农村发展研究院、国家级实验教学示范中心、国家级工程技术研究中心等10余个国家级科研平台，以及30余个省部级科研平台。近年来，获国家科技进步奖、省科技奖等各级各类奖项100余项，在寒地农业、农产品加工、农业工程等领域形成了鲜明的科研特色和优势，为黑龙江省现代化大农业发展和国家粮食安全作出了重要贡献。

Adhering to the deep integration of industry, education, and research, the university has built more than 10 national-level scientific research platforms such as the National New Rural Development Research Institute, National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, and National Engineering Technology Research Center, as well as over 30 provincial-level scientific research platforms. In recent years, it has won more than 100 awards at all levels, including the National Science and Technology Progress Award and Provincial Science and Technology Award. It has formed distinct scientific research characteristics and advantages in cold-region agriculture, agricultural product processing, agricultural engineering, and other fields, making important contributions to the development of modern large-scale agriculture in Heilongjiang Province and national food security.
