呼伦贝尔学院地处祖国北疆，坐落在中国最美草原、中国最佳民族风情魅力城市——呼伦贝尔市，是呼伦贝尔市唯一一所全日制综合性本科院校。学校始建于1958年成立的呼伦贝尔大学，1977年恢复本专科招生。1992年，呼伦贝尔盟教育学院、内蒙古广播电视大学呼伦贝尔盟分校、呼伦贝尔管理干部学院、海拉尔师范专科学校合并，重新组建成立呼伦贝尔大学。1997年，经原国家教委批准更名为呼伦贝尔学院。2000年后，海拉尔蒙古族师范学校、呼伦贝尔盟商业学校、呼伦贝尔盟城建职工中专学校、内蒙古工程技术学校、海拉尔农牧职工中等专业学校相继并入。2003年，经教育部批准晋升为本科高校。2011年通过了教育部本科教学工作合格评估。

Hulunbuir University is located in northern China, in Hulunbuir City, known as China's most beautiful grassland and one of China's most charming cities with ethnic customs. It is the only full-time comprehensive undergraduate institution in Hulunbuir. The university traces its roots to Hulunbuir University founded in 1958, resuming undergraduate and junior college enrollment in 1977. In 1992, it was re-established through the merger of Hulunbuir League College of Education, Inner Mongolia Radio and Television University Hulunbuir Branch, Hulunbuir Administrative Cadre College, and Hailar Teachers College. Approved by the former State Education Commission in 1997, it was renamed Hulunbuir College. After 2000, Hailar Mongolian Normal School, Hulunbuir League Commercial School, Hulunbuir League Urban Construction Vocational Secondary School, Inner Mongolia Engineering and Technical School, and Hailar Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Vocational Secondary School were successively merged into the college. In 2003, it was upgraded to an undergraduate university with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and passed the Qualification Assessment of Undergraduate Teaching by the Ministry of Education in 2011.

学校植根呼伦贝尔，紧扣区域和行业需求，推进应用型转型发展，2016年被确定为自治区首批整体转型发展试点高校，同年入选国家“十三五”应用型本科产教融合发展工程百所高校。2018年通过教育部本科教学工作审核评估。2021年获批硕士学位授予单位，建校67年来，为社会输送12万余名各类人才。学校现有三个校区，占地76.15万平方米，建筑面积37.33万平方米、教学行政用房20.84万平方米。设有18个二级学院、9个教辅机构、18个党政管理机构和2个群团组织。现有本科专业59个，涵盖经济学、法学、教育学、文学、历史学、理学、工学、农学、管理学和艺术学十大学科门类。有教育、旅游管理、农业、体育、美术与书法5个硕士专业学位授权点。

Rooted in Hulunbuir, the university closely aligns with regional and industrial needs to promote application-oriented transformation. In 2016, it was identified as one of the first batch of pilot universities for overall transformation and development in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and was selected into the National "13th Five-Year Plan" Application-Oriented Undergraduate Industry-Education Integration Development Project. It passed the Undergraduate Teaching Audit Assessment by the Ministry of Education in 2018 and was approved as a master's degree-granting unit in 2021. Over its 67-year history, the university has cultivated more than 120,000 talents for society. It now has three campuses covering an area of 761,500 square meters, with a building area of 373,300 square meters, including 208,400 square meters for teaching and administrative use. The university comprises 18 secondary colleges, 9 teaching auxiliary institutions, 18 party and government administrative agencies, and 2 mass organizations. It offers 59 undergraduate programs spanning ten disciplines: Economics, Law, Education, Literature, History, Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Management, and Art, along with 5 professional master's degree programs in Education, Tourism Management, Agriculture, Physical Education, and Fine Arts & Calligraphy.
