河南工程学院地处河南省省会郑州市，是经教育部批准设立的省属公办普通本科院校，是河南省重点建设的示范性应用技术类型本科院校、国家发改委立项建设的产教融合实训基地、河南省整体转型发展试点院校、河南省硕士学位授予重点立项培育单位。学校办学历史悠久，于2007年由原郑州经济管理干部学院和原河南纺织高等专科学校合并组建，其办学历史可追溯到1910年设立的河南省官立中等工业学堂，著名抗日将领杨靖宇将军为学校的杰出校友。

Henan University of Engineering is located in Zhengzhou, the capital city of Henan Province. It is a public ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. It is a key construction demonstration application-oriented undergraduate university in Henan Province, a production-education integration training base approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, a pilot university for overall transformation and development in Henan Province, and a key project cultivation unit for granting master's degrees in Henan Province. The university has a long history, established in 2007 by the merger of the former Zhengzhou Economic Management Cadre College and the former Henan Textile College. Its history can be traced back to the Henan Provincial Official Secondary Industrial School founded in 1910, with the famous anti-Japanese general Yang Jingyu as an outstanding alumnus.

学校现有龙湖校区、桐柏路校区和南阳路校区三个校区，占地面积2600余亩，建筑面积111万平方米。设有23个教学单位，开设60个本科专业，涵盖工学、理学、经济学、管理学、文学、艺术学、法学等七大学科门类，以工科为主的办学优势突出，在纺织与服装、材料与化工、资源与环境、土木测绘、智能制造、工商管理等领域形成特色学科专业集群。拥有国家级一流本科专业2个，国家级特色专业和综合改革试点专业2个，国家级虚拟仿真实验教学项目1个，国家级一流本科课程1门，国家级大学生校外实践教育基地2个。

The university has three campuses: Longhu, Tongbai Road and Nanyang Road, covering an area of more than 2,600 mu with a building area of 1.11 million square meters. It has 23 teaching units and offers 60 undergraduate majors, covering seven disciplines including engineering, science, economics, management, literature, art and law. It has prominent advantages in running schools with engineering as the main focus, and has formed characteristic discipline professional clusters in the fields of textile and clothing, materials and chemical engineering, resources and environment, civil engineering surveying and mapping, intelligent manufacturing, and business management. It has 2 national first-class undergraduate majors, 2 national characteristic majors and comprehensive reform pilot majors, 1 national virtual simulation experimental teaching project, 1 national first-class undergraduate course, and 2 national off-campus practical education bases for college students.
