河南牧业经济学院位于河南省省会郑州市，由原郑州牧业工程高等专科学校（1957年建校）和原河南商业高等专科学校（1960年建校）于2013年合并组建而成，是经教育部批准设置、河南省人民政府举办的一所省属公办全日制普通本科院校。学校总占地面积191.3万平方米，现有龙子湖、英才、北林3个校区和3个科教基地，总建筑面积99.41万平方米。

Henan University of Animal Husbandry and Economy is located in Zhengzhou, the capital city of Henan Province. It was established in 2013 through the merger of the former Zhengzhou College of Animal Husbandry Engineering (founded in 1957) and the former Henan College of Commerce (founded in 1960). It is a public full-time ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the People's Government of Henan Province. The university covers a total area of 1.913 million square meters, with three campuses (Longzihu, Yingcai, and Beilin) and three science and education bases, with a total construction area of 994,100 square meters.

学校现有21个二级教学单位、53个本科专业，对接牧工商产业链，建成了以动物生产类、食品工程类、信息技术类、经济管理类四大专业集群为主体，牧工商一体化多学科交叉融合协调发展的学科专业体系。拥有动物科学专业国家级一流本科专业建设点1个，动物医学、食品科学与工程、财务管理等11个省级一流本科专业建设点，4个省级综合改革试点专业。学校持续深化教育教学改革，先后荣获国家级教学成果特等奖1项，一等奖2项，二等奖3项；省级教学成果特等奖5项，一等奖21项，二等奖17项。

The university currently has 21 secondary teaching units and 53 undergraduate majors. Aligned with the animal husbandry-industry-commerce industrial chain, it has built a disciplinary and professional system featuring the integration and coordinated development of multiple disciplines in animal husbandry-industry-commerce, with four major professional clusters (animal production, food engineering, information technology, and economic management) as the main body. It has 1 national first-class undergraduate major construction site (Animal Science), 11 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites (including Animal Medicine, Food Science and Engineering, and Financial Management), and 4 provincial comprehensive reform pilot majors. The university has continuously deepened education and teaching reforms, and has won 1 national teaching achievement special prize, 2 first prizes, and 3 second prizes; 5 provincial teaching achievement special prizes, 21 first prizes, and 17 second prizes.
