华侨大学是国务院侨务办公室直属的综合性大学，1960年创办于福建泉州，2004年在厦门开设新校区，形成“一校两区”的办学格局。学校始终坚持“面向海外、面向港澳台”的办学方针，以培养应用型、复合型、创新型人才为目标，在华文教育、国际关系、建筑设计等学科领域特色鲜明。

Huaqiao University is a comprehensive university directly under the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council. Founded in Quanzhou, Fujian in 1960, it opened a new campus in Xiamen in 2004, forming a "one university, two campuses" educational structure. The university has always adhered to the school-running policy of "facing overseas and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan", aiming to cultivate applied, interdisciplinary and innovative talents, with distinctive characteristics in such disciplines as Chinese education, international relations and architectural design.

学校现有28个学院，94个本科专业，涵盖文、理、工、经、管、法、教、艺等八大学科门类。拥有多个国家级一流本科专业建设点、国家级特色专业，以及博士后科研流动站、一级学科博士点等高层次学科平台，为学生提供多元化的学术发展路径。

The university currently has 28 colleges and 94 undergraduate majors, covering eight disciplines including arts, science, engineering, economics, management, law, education and art. It has multiple national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, national characteristic majors, as well as high-level disciplinary platforms such as post-doctoral research stations and first-level discipline doctoral programs, providing students with diversified academic development paths.

作为国家重点建设的华侨高等学府，华侨大学积极开展国际交流合作，与全球100多所高校建立友好合作关系，设有全英文授课本科及研究生项目，吸引来自50多个国家和地区的华侨华人及外国留学生就读，是中国面向海外传播中华文化、培养侨务人才的重要基地。

As a key national overseas Chinese university, Huaqiao University actively carries out international exchanges and cooperation, has established friendly cooperative relations with more than 100 universities around the world, and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs taught entirely in English.
