湖南中医药大学湘杏学院成立于2002年6月，由湖南中医药大学按新机制、新模式举办，经湖南省人民政府批准设立，国家教育部确认，具有独立法人资格的全日制普通本科独立学院。2021年10月19日，教育部批准学院举办者变更为湖南中医药大学与湖南中盛教育投资有限责任公司。学院依托举办高校湖南中医药大学80余年的办学积淀，共享其优质教育资源，以培养应用型中医药人才为核心定位。

Hunan University of Chinese Medicine Xiangxing College was founded in June 2002. It is a full-time undergraduate independent college with independent legal personality, approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and confirmed by the Ministry of Education, operated by Hunan University of Chinese Medicine under a new mechanism and model. On October 19, 2021, the Ministry of Education approved the change of the college's sponsor to Hunan University of Chinese Medicine and Hunan Zhongsheng Education Investment Co., Ltd. Relying on the over 80-year educational heritage of its sponsor university, the college shares high-quality educational resources and focuses on cultivating applied Chinese medicine talents.

学院现有东塘、湘阴两个校区，分别位于长沙市雨花区韶山中路113号和岳阳市湘阴县芙蓉北路湘阴段66号，总占地面积达1018亩。开设中医学、中西医临床医学、针灸推拿学、护理学、药学等13个本科专业，涵盖医、理、工、管等学科门类，现有全日制在校生4700余人。教学体系以中医药学科为主体，注重理论与实践结合，共享举办高校16所附属医院的临床教学资源，近年来学生在全国中医药类学科竞赛中获国家级、省级奖项200余项。

The college has two campuses: Dongtang Campus located at No. 113 Shaoshan Middle Road, Yuhua District, Changsha, and Xiangyin Campus at No. 66 Xiangyin Section of Furong North Road, Xiangyin County, Yueyang City, with a total area of 1018 mu. It offers 13 undergraduate majors including Traditional Chinese Medicine, Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Acupuncture and Tuina, Nursing, and Pharmacy, covering disciplines of medicine, science, engineering, and management, with over 4,700 full-time students. The teaching system centers on Chinese medicine disciplines, emphasizing the integration of theory and practice, and shares clinical teaching resources from 16 affiliated hospitals of the sponsor university. In recent years, students have won over 200 national and provincial awards in national Chinese medicine discipline competitions.

学院坚持“质量办学、特色办学、开放办学”理念，以“术精仁厚，一专多能”为人才培养目标，构建了完善的奖助体系，包括国家奖学金、励志奖学金及学院专项奖学金。学生修完教学计划规定内容且成绩合格者，颁发湖南中医药大学湘杏学院本科学历证书，符合条件者授予学士学位。毕业生就业率持续保持较高水平，已为中医药事业发展输送万余名高素质应用型人才。

Adhering to the philosophy of "quality-oriented, characteristic, and open education", the college aims to cultivate talents with "excellent skills, benevolence, and versatility". It has established a comprehensive scholarship and assistance system, including national scholarships, inspirational scholarships, and college-specific scholarships. Students who complete the required curriculum with qualified grades will be awarded a bachelor's degree certificate from Xiangxing College of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, and those meeting the criteria will receive a bachelor's degree. The college maintains a high employment rate and has cultivated over 10,000 high-quality applied talents for the development of Chinese medicine.
