衡阳师范学院南岳学院是经教育部批准、湖南省直属、依托衡阳师范学院举办的普通全日制本科独立学院。学院坐落于中国历史文化名城衡阳，北接南岳，东邻湘江，交通便捷。校园面积近500亩，建筑面积约16万平方米，教学仪器设备总值近3000万元，图书资料60多万册，并共享举办学校优质办学资源。学院是湖南省园林式单位、全国大学生社会实践活动先进单位，2010年被评为全国先进独立学院。

Nanyue College of Hengyang Normal University is an independent full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education, directly under Hunan Province, and依托 Hengyang Normal University. Located in Hengyang, a famous historical and cultural city in China, the college is adjacent to Nanyue Mountain in the north and Xiangjiang River in the east, with convenient transportation. Covering an area of nearly 500 mu and a building area of about 160,000 square meters, the college has a total value of nearly 30 million yuan in teaching instruments and equipment, more than 600,000 books, and shares the high-quality educational resources of the host university. It is a garden-style unit in Hunan Province, an advanced unit of national college students' social practice activities, and was rated as a national advanced independent college in 2010.

学院以培养应用型人才为目标，专业结构合理，特色鲜明，以教师教育为主，多学科协调发展。现有15个教学系，36个本科专业，涵盖经济学、法学、教育学、文学、历史学、理学、工学、艺术学、管理学等九大学科门类。学院拥有一支结构合理、素质优良的教师队伍，现有教职工298人，专兼职教师252人，其中副高以上职称教师占49%，硕士博士学位教师占58%。

With the goal of cultivating applied talents, the college has a reasonable professional structure and distinct characteristics, focusing on teacher education and developing multiple disciplines in a coordinated manner. It currently has 15 teaching departments and 36 undergraduate majors, covering nine disciplines including economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, art, and management. The college has a well-structured and high-quality teaching staff, with 298 faculty members and 252 full-time and part-time teachers, among whom 49% have associate senior titles or above, and 58% have master's or doctoral degrees.

学院注重实践育人，构建了高校、政府和中学的U-G-S培养模式，形成了分阶段分层次不断线的师范生技能训练体系。深度开展校企合作，在知名企业建立实践教学基地。近年来，学生在国家、省级学科竞赛中屡获佳绩，毕业生就业率一直保持在90%以上，在全省同类院校中位居前列。

The college attaches importance to practical education, has constructed a U-G-S training model involving universities, governments and middle schools, and formed a phased and hierarchical continuous training system for normal school students' skills. It has carried out in-depth school-enterprise cooperation and established practical teaching bases in well-known enterprises. In recent years, students have won many awards in national and provincial discipline competitions, and the employment rate of graduates has remained above 90%, ranking among the top in similar colleges in the province.
