杭州医学院是由浙江省人民政府举办的全日制公办普通本科院校，前身为1925年创建的浙江省立女子产科学校，历经多次更名与发展，2016年升格为医学本科院校，2019年与原浙江省医学科学院整体合并组建新杭州医学院，至今已有近百年办学历史。学校以医学为主，理学和工学等多学科融通协同发展，现有临安、黄龙、滨江、青山湖四个校区，占地1435.76亩，校舍建筑面积40.36万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值4.12亿元，拥有直属附属医院1家、非直属附属医院14家及两百余家校外实践教学基地。

Hangzhou Medical College is a full-time public undergraduate institution run by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government. Its predecessor was the Zhejiang Provincial Women's Obstetrics School founded in 1925. After several renamings and developments, it was upgraded to an undergraduate medical college in 2016. In 2019, it merged with the former Zhejiang Academy of Medical Sciences to form the new Hangzhou Medical College, with a history of nearly a century. The college mainly focuses on medicine, integrating理学, engineering and other disciplines. It has four campuses in Lin'an, Huanglong, Binjiang and Qingshanhu, covering an area of 1435.76 mu, with a building area of 403,600 square meters. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 412 million yuan. It has 1 directly affiliated hospital, 14 non-directly affiliated hospitals and more than 200 off-campus practical teaching bases.

学校师资力量雄厚，在职教职员工1076人，拥有教育部长江学者、国家百千万人才工程入选者等国家级高层次人才9人次，省部级高层次人才及荣誉获得者200余人次。学科优势突出，公共卫生与预防医学为省一流学科（A类），临床医学、基础医学等4个学科为省一流学科（B类），临床医学、药理学与毒理学、生物学与生物化学3个学科进入ESI全球排名前1%。开设临床医学、口腔医学、药学等21个本科专业，其中国家级一流本科专业建设点3个，省级一流本科专业建设点4个，国家级一流课程5门，省级一流课程123门。

The college has a strong faculty of 1076 in-service staff, including 9 national-level high-level talents such as Changjiang Scholars of the Ministry of Education and selected personnel of the National Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talents Project, and more than 200 provincial-level high-level talents and honor winners. It has outstanding disciplinary advantages: Public Health and Preventive Medicine is a provincial first-class discipline (Class A), 4 disciplines including Clinical Medicine and Basic Medicine are provincial first-class disciplines (Class B), and 3 disciplines including Clinical Medicine, Pharmacology & Toxicology, and Biology & Biochemistry have entered the top 1% of ESI global rankings. It offers 21 undergraduate majors such as Clinical Medicine, Stomatology and Pharmacy, including 3 national-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 4 provincial-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 5 national-level first-class courses and 123 provincial-level first-class courses.

The college has achieved remarkable results in talent cultivation, producing outstanding alumni such as academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and winners of the National May 1st Labor Medal. The employment rate of graduates one year after graduation has ranked among the top six undergraduate colleges in the province for six consecutive years.
