吉林农业科技学院是吉林省省属公立全日制普通本科高校，坐落在素有“雾凇之都”美誉的北国江城——吉林市。学校是国家级综合改革试点专业、教育部首批卓越农林人才教育培养计划改革试点项目专业建设院校、吉林省转型发展示范高校，办学历史可追溯到1907年创办的吉林中等农学堂。2003年10月，北华大学农业技术学院（吉林省农业学校）与吉林特产高等专科学校实体合并，2004年5月经教育部批准升格为本科院校并更名为吉林农业科技学院。

Jilin Agricultural Science and Technology University is a public full-time ordinary undergraduate university under the jurisdiction of Jilin Province, located in Jilin City, known as the "City of Rime" in northern China. It is a national comprehensive reform pilot major, one of the first batch of reform pilot institutions for the education and training program of outstanding agricultural and forestry talents approved by the Ministry of Education, and a demonstration university for transformation and development in Jilin Province. Its educational history can be traced back to Jilin Secondary Agricultural School founded in 1907. In October 2003, the Agricultural Technology College of Beihua University (Jilin Agricultural School) was merged with Jilin Special Products College, and in May 2004, it was upgraded to an undergraduate university with the approval of the Ministry of Education and renamed Jilin Agricultural Science and Technology University.

学校现有九站和左家两个校区，总占地面积198万平方米，建筑面积30.04万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值2.60亿元，馆藏纸质图书118.74万册。设有9个办学学院及马克思主义学院等教学机构，开设49个本科专业，涵盖工、农、文、理、经、管6个学科门类，其中国家级一流专业1个、国家级特色专业1个，现有全日制在校生13927人，教职工972人，其中高级职称300人、博士教师203人。

The university has two campuses, Jiuzhan and Zuojia, with a total area of 1.98 million square meters and a building area of 300,400 square meters. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 260 million yuan, and the library has 1.1874 million paper books. It has 9 colleges and teaching institutions such as the School of Marxism, offering 49 undergraduate majors covering 6 disciplines including engineering, agriculture, liberal arts, science, economics and management. Among them, there is 1 national first-class major and 1 national characteristic major. Currently, there are 13,927 full-time students and 972 faculty members, including 300 with senior titles and 203 doctoral teachers.

学校坚持“以人为本、内涵发展、突出特色、服务社会”的办学理念，构建了“平台+模块”理论教学和“三实一研”实践教学体系，建有省级科研平台24个，近三年培训新型职业农民等技术人员2.31万人，连续13年被吉林省政府评为“科教兴农先进单位”，是全国新型职业农民培育示范基地、国家食物与营养教育示范基地。

Adhering to the educational philosophy of "people-oriented, connotative development, distinctive characteristics, and serving the society", the university has constructed a "platform + module" theoretical teaching system and a "three practices and one research" practical teaching system. It has 24 provincial-level scientific research platforms. In the past three years, it has trained 23,100 technical personnel such as new professional farmers, and has been rated as an "Advanced Unit for Science and Education Promoting Agriculture" by the Jilin Provincial Government for 13 consecutive years. It is a national demonstration base for cultivating new professional farmers and a national demonstration base for food and nutrition education.
