吉林警察学院是吉林省省属公安本科院校，前身是创建于1949年的吉林省公安干部学校，历经吉林省公安学校、吉林省行政干部学校、吉林省政法干部学校、吉林省人民警察学校和吉林公安高等专科学校等发展阶段，2010年3月升格为本科院校，2018年通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估。学院被确立为吉林省2024—2026年硕士学位授权单位立项建设A类高校、吉林省“三全育人”综合改革试点高校、吉林省高校思想政治工作创新发展中心。

Jilin Police College is a public undergraduate institution for police education in Jilin Province. Its predecessor was the Jilin Provincial Public Security Cadre School founded in 1949. It has gone through development stages such as Jilin Provincial Public Security School, Jilin Provincial Administrative Cadre School, Jilin Provincial Political and Legal Cadre School, Jilin Provincial People's Police School, and Jilin Public Security College. It was upgraded to an undergraduate college in March 2010 and passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education in 2018. The college has been established as a Class A university for the 2024-2026 master's degree authorization unit project in Jilin Province, a comprehensive reform pilot university for "Three-All-Education" in Jilin Province, and an innovative development center for ideological and political work in colleges and universities in Jilin Province.

学院位于吉林省长春市，现有净月、乐山两个校区，占地面积46.22万平方米，建筑面积19.06万平方米。现有21个本科专业，涵盖法学、工学、管理学、文学、艺术学等学科，全日制在校学生8201人，每年培训在职民警6000余人次。公安学、公安技术获立吉林省优势特色学科，建设吉林省特色高水平学科（群）2个。建设国家级一流本科专业建设点3个，省级一流本科专业建设点5个，公安部重点专业建设点1个、省品牌专业1个、省特色高水平专业5个。

The college is located in Changchun City, Jilin Province, with two campuses: Jingyue and Leshan, covering an area of 462,200 square meters and a building area of 190,600 square meters. It currently has 21 undergraduate majors covering disciplines such as law, engineering, management, literature, and art, with 8,201 full-time students and over 6,000 in-service police officers trained annually. Public Security Science and Public Security Technology have been established as advantageous and characteristic disciplines in Jilin Province, and 2 characteristic high-level disciplines (groups) in Jilin Province have been built. It has 3 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 5 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 1 key professional construction site of the Ministry of Public Security, 1 provincial brand major, and 5 provincial characteristic high-level majors.
