济宁学院是省属全日制普通本科高等学校，坐落在世界历史文化名城、儒家文化发源地、孔子故里、东方圣城曲阜。学校溯源于1951年创办的滕县专区干部文化补习学校，前身为济宁师范专科学校，2007年3月升格为本科院校并更名为济宁学院，2008年11月百年名校曲阜师范学校整建制并入。学校秉承“博学笃志、择善敦行”的校训，形成了“至诚至朴、求是求新”的校风、“诲人不倦、敦品励学”的教风和“学而不厌、切问近思”的学风，以“学生为本、教师为先、服务地方”为办学理念，致力于建设高质量应用型大学。

Jining University is a full-time public undergraduate institution of higher education located in Qufu, a world-famous historical and cultural city, the birthplace of Confucian culture, and the hometown of Confucius. Tracing its roots to the Teng County Special Zone Cadre Cultural Remedial School founded in 1951, it evolved from Jining Teachers College and was upgraded to a bachelor's degree-granting institution in March 2007. In November 2008, the century-old prestigious Qufu Normal School was incorporated into the university. 学校现有全日制在校生2万余人，设有19个教学单位，55个本科专业、22个专科专业，涵盖经济学、法学、教育学、文学、历史学、理学、工学、管理学、艺术学等9大学科门类。图书馆纸质藏书206万余册，电子图书135万余册，教学科研仪器设备总值2.57亿余元。学校智慧校园建设特色鲜明，被授予全国首家智慧校园建设示范校，5G+智慧教育项目入选教育部应用试点。依托儒家文化资源，初等教育学院校区地处曲阜明故城内，毗邻孔庙孔府，为全国重点文物保护单位，校内曾诞生鲁西南最早中共党组织，培养了万里等杰出校友。

The university has over 20,000 full-time students and 19 teaching units, offering 55 undergraduate programs and 22 junior college programs covering 9 disciplines including economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, management, and art. The library houses over 2.06 million physical books and 1.35 million e-books, with teaching and research equipment valued at 257 million yuan. Renowned for its smart campus construction, it was named China's first Smart Campus Construction Demonstration School, with its 5G+Smart Education project selected as a pilot by the Ministry of Education. Leveraging Confucian cultural resources, its Primary Education College campus is located within Qufu's ancient city, adjacent to the Confucian Temple and Mansion, a national key cultural relics protection unit. The campus witnessed the birth of southwestern Shandong's earliest Communist Party organization and educated distinguished alumni like Wan Li.
