酒泉职业技术大学是教育部批准、酒泉市政府举办的公办本科层次职业大学，前身为1983年成立的酒泉教育学院，2001年获批设立酒泉职业技术学院，2025年3月升格为职业本科大学并撤销原学院建制。学校立足国家重大战略和区域产业布局，秉承胡杨精神，以立德树人为根本，着力培养高素质技术技能人才，先后入选“国家示范性骨干高职院校”“国家优质专科高等职业院校”“国家新双高建设计划”等重大项目。

Jiuquan Vocational and Technical University is a public undergraduate vocational university approved by the Ministry of Education and run by the Jiuquan Municipal Government. Its predecessor was Jiuquan College of Education founded in 1983. In 2001, it was approved to establish Jiuquan Vocational and Technical College, and in March 2025, it was upgraded to an undergraduate vocational university with the original college system revoked. Based on major national strategies and regional industrial layout, the university upholds the Populus euphratica spirit, takes moral education as its foundation, and strives to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents. It has been successively selected into major projects such as "National Demonstrative Key Vocational Colleges", "National High-quality Vocational Colleges" and "National New Double-high Construction Plan".

学校首批开设新能源发电工程技术、水利水电工程、现代种业技术、应用化工技术、旅游管理5个职业本科专业，另设高职专科专业65个，全日制在校生规模暂定为12000人。校区位于甘肃省酒泉市肃州区解放路66号，占地面积2202亩，现有16个二级学院，办学40年来累计为社会培养输送7万余名高素质技术技能人才，为区域经济社会发展提供了坚实的人才支撑和智力支持。

The university initially offers 5 undergraduate vocational majors including New Energy Power Generation Engineering Technology, Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering, Modern Seed Industry Technology, Applied Chemical Technology, and Tourism Management, along with 65 higher vocational college majors. The full-time student enrollment is tentatively set at 12,000. Located at No. 66 Jiefang Road, Suzhou District, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province, the campus covers an area of 2202 mu and currently has 16 secondary colleges. Over the 40 years of its establishment, the university has cultivated and transported more than 70,000 high-quality technical and skilled talents for the society, providing solid talent support and intellectual contribution to regional economic and social development.
