江苏师范大学是江苏省人民政府和教育部共建高校，是江苏高水平大学建设高校。学校坐落于历史文化名城徐州，拥有泉山、云龙、奎园、贾汪4个校区，校园占地2106亩，校舍面积96.84万平方米。学校前身是1952年创办的苏南军区转业干部文化速成学校，历经徐州师范专科学校、徐州师范学院、江苏师范大学等发展阶段。

Jiangsu Normal University is a university co-constructed by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and the Ministry of Education, and a high-level university construction university in Jiangsu. Located in Xuzhou, a famous historical and cultural city, the university has four campuses: Quanshan, Yunlong, Kuiyuan and Jiawang, covering an area of 2106 mu with a school building area of 968,400 square meters. The predecessor of the university was the Cultural Crash Course School for Demobilized Cadres of the Southern Jiangsu Military Region founded in 1952, which has gone through the development stages of Xuzhou Teachers College, Xuzhou Normal University, and Jiangsu Normal University.

学校学科门类齐全，涵盖哲学、经济学、法学、教育学、文学、历史学、理学、工学、农学、管理学、艺术学等11大学科门类。现有59个本科专业，35个一级学科硕士点，21个硕士专业学位类别，1个服务国家特殊需求博士人才培养项目，1个博士后科研流动站。拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点25个，国家级特色专业建设点4个。

The university has a complete range of disciplines, covering 11 disciplines including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, management, and art. It currently has 59 undergraduate majors, 35 first-level discipline master's programs, 21 master's professional degree categories, 1 doctoral talent training program serving national special needs, and 1 post-doctoral research station. It has 25 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites and 4 national characteristic major construction sites.

学校师资力量雄厚，现有专任教师1600余人，其中正高职称300余人，副高职称600余人。拥有“长江学者”特聘教授、国家“万人计划”领军人才、国家杰出青年科学基金获得者等国家级人才30余人，省部级人才150余人。近年来，学校荣获国家级教学成果奖9项，省级教学成果奖70余项。

The university has a strong faculty, with more than 1,600 full-time teachers, including more than 300 with senior titles and more than 600 with associate senior titles. It has more than 30 national-level talents such as "Changjiang Scholars" distinguished professors, national "Ten Thousand Talents Program" leading talents, and winners of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund, and more than 150 provincial-level talents. In recent years, the university has won 9 national teaching achievement awards and more than 70 provincial teaching achievement awards.

学校坚持开放办学，与39个国家和地区的130余所高校建立了友好合作关系，先后接收60多个国家和地区的留学生来校学习。积极响应国家“一带一路”倡议，在海外建有2所孔子学院和1所孔子课堂。学校注重培养学生的创新精神和实践能力，学生在全国各类学科竞赛中屡获佳绩，毕业生就业率连续多年保持在全省高校前列。

The university adheres to open education and has established friendly cooperative relations with more than 130 universities in 39 countries and regions, and has successively received international students from more than 60 countries and regions to study. Actively responding to the national "the Belt and Road" initiative, it has 2 Confucius Institutes and 1 Confucius Classroom overseas. The university focuses on cultivating students' innovative spirit and practical ability.
