嘉兴大学是一所省属普通本科高校，位于浙江省嘉兴市。学校前身为1914年创办的嘉兴省立甲种商业学校，历经百年发展，现已成为一所以经济学、管理学、工学为主，多学科协调发展的综合性大学。学校现有越秀、梁林两个校区，占地面积1500余亩，校舍建筑面积近60万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值3.5亿元。

Jiaxing University is a provincial public undergraduate university located in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. Founded in 1914 as Jiaxing Provincial A-Level Commercial School, it has developed over a century into a comprehensive university with a focus on economics, management, and engineering, featuring coordinated development of multiple disciplines. The university has two campuses, Yuexiu and Lianglin, covering an area of more than 1,500 mu, with a building area of nearly 600,000 square meters and a total value of teaching and research equipment of 350 million yuan.

学校设有17个教学单位，开设58个本科专业，拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点10个，省级一流本科专业建设点20个。现有全日制本科生、研究生、留学生16000余人，教职工1500余人，其中高级职称教师600余人，具有博士学位教师500余人。学校坚持以人才培养为中心，注重学生创新创业能力培养，近年来获国家级、省级教学成果奖多项。

The university has 17 teaching units offering 58 undergraduate programs, including 10 national-level first-class undergraduate program construction sites and 20 provincial-level first-class undergraduate program construction sites. It currently has over 16,000 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates, and international students, and more than 1,500 faculty members, including over 600 with senior professional titles and over 500 with doctoral degrees. Adhering to talent cultivation as its core mission, the university emphasizes the development of students' innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities, and has won multiple national and provincial teaching achievement awards in recent years.
