江西理工大学创办于1958年，是一所以工学为主，理工结合，管理学、经济学、法学、文学、艺术学等多学科协调发展的教学研究型大学。学校是江西省人民政府、工业和信息化部、教育部共建高校，是国家“中西部高校基础能力建设工程”支持高校，江西省“双一流”建设高校。

Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, founded in 1958, is a teaching and research-oriented university with engineering as its main focus, integrating science and engineering, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as management, economics, law, literature, and art. It is a university jointly built by the People's Government of Jiangxi Province, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Education. It is a university supported by the "Midwest University Basic Capacity Construction Project" and a "Double First-Class" construction university in Jiangxi Province.

学校现有赣州、南昌两个校区，占地面积3600余亩。设有22个学院，66个本科专业，拥有1个国家重点培育学科、5个博士后科研流动站、6个一级学科博士点、22个一级学科硕士点、15个硕士专业学位授权点。全日制在校本科生、研究生及留学生3万余人，教职工2000余人，其中中国工程院院士1人，国家级人才100余人次。

The university currently has two campuses in Ganzhou and Nanchang, covering an area of more than 3,600 mu. It has 22 colleges and 66 undergraduate majors, with 1 national key cultivation discipline, 5 post-doctoral research stations, 6 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 22 first-level discipline master programs, and 15 master's professional degree authorization points. There are more than 30,000 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates and international students, and more than 2,000 faculty members, including 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and more than 100 national-level talents.
